Re: How About an Android TV App ?
GTShare is awful anyway all they need to do is code a way to retrieve the playlist REMOTELY so any iptv player will work.

Re: GT MEDIA COMBO STREAM TO PC
As far as I know this cannot be done that way. You must first export the playlist to a usb drive and then export that list to your pc/vlc. If your channel list never changes then you are done. If you scan new channels you must perform the procedure over again. With an xxxxc box you can connect direc...

I told you yes and you will see that it is very easy I am currently waiting for the shipment. I want you to inform me what and how ( step by step ). Re: RS232 for v8 UHD
I too have a V8UHD which can't be flashed via RS232 and I'm pretty adept at that sort of thing so it's not user error.
I don't know what version the board is it's all put back together.

Re: Please Create Link to Access Channel List
No, you don't understand. I want to open OTT Navigator (or any iptv app) and create a playlist by pointing to the V8UHD. Exporting the playlist to a USB and taking it to every device you may watch tv from is not only redundant but must be done EACH TIME you scan a new channel on the unit. The playl...

I thought I was at v245 but I was only at v238 so I upgraded and everything looks the same menu-wise.
Please explain how I can retrieve the playlist remotely.

Re: Please Create Link to Access Channel List
With Mars you can't do it, it must be with the Firmware version 245 What I'm asking can't be done with v245 either. I'm asking for a new feature to be added and this will only be through Mars since the older software is no longer supported. Again, instead of pulling the playlist from the unit to a ...

Re: Please Create Link to Access Channel List
There are lists in (User Share), which would be a couple of clicks away, would it be best to make your own list, then keep on USB, then update as and when. Every ones taste will be different, plus using a third party list, could brick your receiver. Den No, you don't understand. I want to open OTT ...

Please Create Link to Access Channel List
I have a V8UHD but this is an appropriate feature for all models.
Please add into the firmware a direct link containing the current channel list for use by a lan connected streaming device.

Re: Download playlist.m3u Direct from Receiver
Sad truth is by reading what others are posting here they already have their hands full with features not working correctly or at all.
Imagine if the software was open-source what these units could actually do.

Download playlist.m3u Direct from Receiver
Please make it possible to download the playlist.m3u directly from the receiver by link.
http://192.168.0.xxx:yy/playlist.m3u where xxx is the location of the receiver.
Would greatly simplify use with any IPTV player and I think would be a great feature enhancement.

Will there be any new updates for the pre-Mars firmware or is all focus on Mars now ? I like the decoder but have a few issues with it... Dears, can you include following features (personally interested in IPTV and satip) with all equipment including older V7 ? It would really help including old unsupported equipment not become doorstops. Product obsolescence by design is not a good idea one of the reasons not going to buy new equipm...

Re: GTcombo
He means your actuator should be retracted as much as possible when pointed to 135w that way you will use maximum arm travel when pushing the dish to the east. This is done by loosening the collar bolts holding the actuator housing and adjusting it in or out for max travel. I'm going by memory since...

Which 5G filter ? If it's not a DIY hack then you already know nothing below 3820 will be passed to your receiver and you've answered your own question.

Ok can you USB "upgrade" or force "upgrade" from 238 downwards as long as you're not on MARS ?
Also I found a link here to a download for a north american satellite list but it is password protected! Can anyone point me to another one ?

The last software update was V238 before they went to the (MARS) software. With you been in (N. A.), let us know, on what you require from your receiver, then users will let you know what path to take. Den Hard to say. What are the major differences ? I can say I'm really only interested in satelli...

Re: What Firmware Version do I have ?
Hi From what i have read , so far , if you live in N.A. there is no advantage to switch over to MARS yet . I have two V8X 's running on the Non- Mars firmware and they work just fine i sure wish instead of developing Mars they would have spent time and resources on decrypting other systems Good luc...
