Dropout leads to loss

This is really only relevant to satellite scanning with a movable dish but on the V7 combo if the signal drops out temporarily, the receiver does not recover until the channel is re-selected. Also - what is the RS232 port for?

I have found the same problem.
It relates to the DiSEqC switching taking a long time, more time than the unit waits to check for a "Good" signal.
The later versions of software for the V8's has fixed this by removing the dual sending of DiSEqC commands, that is it send them twice.

The RS232 port is for a computer to connect to the Freesat unit so you can send new software.
Normally you update software via files on USB, but if your unit crashes and will not recover by the "flash" method from USB you can use the RS232 port to recover.
There are topics in the download center on these issues.

I wonder if there is any chance of a fix in the next firmware release?
