Freesat V7 Stuck on L098

Post by carlosk_br »

I wanted to config my Freesat V7 but when a reseted it got stuck on L098.

1-I turn it on
2-It shows that loading blue screen
3-The screen turns black and the equipament's screen (or visor that show the channel number) shows "L001, L002, L003..." util L098 and got stuck.

What can i do to solve this? Is there a hard reset i can do?

To do a flash restore:
Place a copy of the software (Freesat_v7_hd.bin) on your USB stick and rename it "flash.bin".
With the usb in your V7, power on while repeat pressing "Menu" on the remote control.
You will see Upgrad...
The unit should reload the software.

Thank you cpr43, it worked...

I have another question, now i found many channels (256 total) on the 55.05W Sat, but they have a "$" on it and says "channel blocked"
All channels are with this block, is there any configuration needed? What do i have to do?

The channels are blocked because you have lost your softcam.key file when your unit crashed.

If you have a copy you can re load it by doing a "Import" in conditional access menu.
If you do not have a copy you will need to reload each code that the unit does not auto roll for you.

Attached an empty FAT32 formatted USB drive to your box
Go to:

Menu
Tools
Conditional Access

Type in your remote Control 6666 (V8)
Go to KEY EDIT in the pop up screen
Hit the Green Boton on your Remote Control (EXPORT)

This will copy all the keys already in your box to the USB. It will be called Softcam.

Take your USB drive out of your box and load it to your PC

Open the file using your PC NOTEPAD

Add all new keys given at the end of the file

DO NOT USE SAVE. Use SAVE AS and save the new edited file over the existing file.

How to load the file back to your box:

Load USB drive to your box
Go to

Menu
Tools
Conditional Access

Type in your remote Control 6666
Go to KEY EDIT in the pop up screen
Hit the RED Boton on your Remote Control (IMPORT)

Wait for the OK screen.

You already add the new keys to your box, Good Luck, Enjoy

I just answered your question:

"This is the first time i'm configuring the Freesat v7, where can i find this softcam.key to unlock the channels? if there is a "region's key" i'm from Brazil then.""

So now you already learned how to create your own Softcam.key file. I see at the end of your file AUTO ECM KEY is empty. That means you have not set your box in channels so the box can search for keys??

You can take a look at this and pull all the keys you need and add them at the end of your softcam.key file:

Now it's all clear! Thanks for all the information and help, i will try to configure it later.

Again, thank you!
