info s/w version - H/W version

porque al actualizar solo se actualiza el s/w version y no asi el H/W version para las los H/W mas atrasadas habria algun inconveniente al actualizar, compre 15 stb y 13 tienen el H/W del 2015 y solo 2 del 2017, cual seria la desventaja?

I have found that the older hardware versions allow me to downgrade software while the newer versions that other users have will not allow downgrades.
As for other changes, that will be things like software patches being added to the firmware rather than being fixed by software updates.
