Weird problem after upgrade to firmware

Post by Lorax »

Hello,
After upgrading my V7 Combo to version: FREESAT_V7COMBO-ATSC_20170807, I am having a problem with the "moving dish" message popping up every couple of seconds. I think it started after selecting USALS on 125 West. Anyone know of a fix or work around?
Thank you...

Hi Kirk,
you need to find the proper .bin (maybe ZIPped) file for your receiver, put it in the root folder on a USB flash stick. When you insert the stick into the receiver it will see the file and confirm that you want to upgrade. Be sure to backup your V8 first. I think that the files may be overwritten, so save them to a PC first.

110 and 119 support only with turbo frec, freesat do not have turbo frec

There is some newer firmware available that "may" address the "moving dish" issue. What you list in your post was released back in August and there is an October firmware available down in the download section.

I'd backup your "stuff" and try that new one to see if that fixes it.

You could go to MENU - SYSTEM - OTHER - DEVICE POP MESSAGE
and change this to OFF.

I should have specified I have a V7 Combo ATSC. I tried it again and same problem. I tried a newer file that was named V7 combo, and the receiver puked on it! The 7/8/17 file is the newest I can find for the ATSC version.
Can I use the factory firmware if I get the key file?
Thanks...
