Unfirutatelly, device is still not stabile enough with this firmware.
It still freezes for me.

If anyone knows how can I detect the reason and post it to others - welcome to send it.

Freesat team can you explain why stb freezing is still present from sw v387 to newest one?
You are not taking care to fix bigest issue for these stbs.
You are after powervu keys and not freezing issue
Older openbox golden are more stable than new ones. What is wrong with hardware?

That ghost will pop up and attack me if I don't agree with you. Sorry, but I must TELL THE TRUTH, the Freesat hardwares that have been shipped into Malaysia are so far so good with any version.

Believe me, otherwise they won't sell hot here.

The new software channel transitions are very good and fast, but I think the screen freezes a bit because the software is not a stable version,
The V8 constantly drove to a new software market, but the software is very poor
Ten days to give a software but does not work donuyor

As device is rather useless for longer use at new firmware levels it would be great that Freest guys give us options in new firmware to roll back
Currently new firmware does not support it, or I Don't know how to do it

If we could roll back to older levels ( People Are Saying that they are working) it would be great
At least until newer levels do become more stabile

If there are some other ideas for stability - please share them

Thank you.....

I have to say this thread is not much help as nobody is providing specific details (other than AVS issue) of the issues they are experiencing.
The only freezing I get is when using IPTV, but that only happens with bad servers.

I am really open for help and try to track the issue.
We can continue over PM or thread.

Just please list what you need - which debugging info or some kind of trace to send it to you

INFORMATION ONLY

I am now living in retirement in Southern Spain. In 2014 'Sky' decided to swap satellites from the Astra1 19.2 West to the Astra 2D 28.2 West which has a smaller footprint leaving many ex-pats like myself without their favourite channels.

Most dishes are pointing towards the two Astra Satellites 1 & 2D and I believe that you can still receive the Pay for View (PFV) signals by using 'Card Sharing' and the internet. (Which I must warn you is probably illegal) However by turning your dish or by adding a second dish and point it towards the Intelsat 907 satellite and adding a Biss code you also can receive all the BBC, ITV, Channels 4 & 5. Again I believe this too is illegal (if anyone cares) These BBC/ITV Packages are on the Intelsat 907 (27.5°w) 27.5w 11495 V 44100 9/10 Dvb-S2/Qpsk but do require a biss code

One major drawback which I already read out. Aac audio not working for anyone with new firmware.
Is the support for conax cards added, which I'm waiting for so long to get started with my V-8 golden?

The more I play with the v8 Golden, the more bugs I find in the software. Rather than issue updates for one new powervu key I hope that someone is working on the many flaws in the software. For example, when I go to the Antenna setup why does it always come up with Astra 1 ?? It should come up with the satellite the dish is pointing at ! Another one - when I go to the transponder list for ONE satellite why does is come up with a "Dish moving" message when I simply move from one transponder to the next ? I can go on...

Another issue - the TP List on the menu. It always comes up with Astra 1 and you cannot change it to another satellite. This should show the current satellite !
Freesat needs to sort these issues out if they want to make good sales with this potentially excellent product.

I fully agree that freezing is the most problematic thing with this device.
I tried version 330 of firmware, but does not descramble programs correctly.

So it seems that it is better to try to help the support to fix the most accurate firmware version to be stabile

Please guys from support - tell us how can we help to make the device stabile.

Randomly, but usually when looking on some program.
As i mostly look on scrambled channels I cannot say whether there is difference between FTA and scrambled.

It is usually 10-15 minutes after turning on. Never more.

I am not sure but I believe that it once happened during watching YouTube, but I cannot confirm it

After freezes it only helps to plug it out and again in.

I tried to play with settings, EPG, subtitles, disec repeat but it made no difference.

I have hardware version 1.2.0

hello! I have v8 super. I upgraded software for 24/12/2016.
And I have 2 questions:
1. Why do this reciever doesn't support m3u8 playlists?
2. why do the applications, like youtube and others does not allows to select the languages, like russian?

Yes satdog.

I to find the TP list and Antenna menu entry point a pain.
There is no point in selecting "TP List" as you have to press exit, then recall, then select the sat, then press recall again, to get there.
It is quicker to use "Antenna set up" menu.
Older versions of the software from early 2015 took you to the TP that you were watching in the TP LIst and took you to the sat you were watching in Antenna setup. And you were not in the change side of the menu too.
This was lost by mid 2105.
I had asked before for this to be fixed.
