Can we encrypt WiFi details?

Have been playing with Freesat v8 Golden for few weeks - including firmware update.
Really happy with the product so far, but for occasional hang (no response to remote) when watching channels.

Before an update I backed UserDB.
Here, I could see my WiFi ssid and password in clear text.

Is there way to encrypt it? Or, prevent dumping this information?
If not, it could be a near future enhancement?
