AliEditor with the V8UHD - audio pid1 invalid
Im using the most recent ALiEditor: ALI_DB_Editor_Release_20220512.zip found on the forum. I first load the v8UHD template: GTMEDIA_V8UHD.h
I load my .uhd backup file from the GTMedia v8UHD.
I go to the list of channels under all services. The VID looks fine. The Audio PID1 and 2 do look invalid compared to what it should be. For one channel the correct audio PID is 68. In the editor it shows as 8260. If I edit the channel and then try to save it (leaving the audio PIDs as 8260) then it errors saying Audio Pid1 invalid then Audio PID2 invalid then it sets them both to zero. If I fix the audio PID1 and set it to 68 it saves fine.
Almost every channel seems to have an invalid audio PID. Id have to fix over 200 channels by hand just to edit the channel names.
Im running GTMedia_V8UHD_v249_20231130.zip the latest version.
Is there an export bug in this version? I can export the user database and re-import it into the receiver just fine. I have no idea whats broken.

Re: AliEditor with the V8UHD - audio pid1 invalid
Verified all channels have the wrong audio PIDs. Its as if the software is pulling the audio PIDs from the wrong area of the user database file or the latest firmware has an export error keeping the editor from functioning.
Re: AliEditor with the V8UHD - audio pid1 invalid
It's a chip selection problem, change it to the correct one
Re: AliEditor with the V8UHD - audio pid1 invalid
I'm having the same problem, what is the fix??? Details please.
Re: AliEditor with the V8UHD - audio pid1 invalid
Sorry yes please let us know the proper chip to select. I think this is defined in the config.ini file? Thank you
Re: AliEditor with the V8UHD - audio pid1 invalid
I looked up the chip information the best I could. I came up with the following:
MIPS 74Kf core operating frequency up to 1GHz, 16KB I-cache, 16KB D-cache and 1 Register File
M1502+Tuner M3031
Configuration
CPU: Ali M2662 (System:ATS)
I'm not entirely sure which chip to use and where to put it.

Re: AliEditor with the V8UHD - audio pid1 invalid
This is the Type=M3329C chip causing the problem, change to Type=M3602, You can also change it by editing the file AliEditor.ini
Re: AliEditor with the V8UHD - audio pid1 invalid
Thanks for the idea. I changed Alieditor.ini to M3031 and then set the file to read only (because if I do not the chip type automatically flips back). The same issue remains. Is there a better way to change the chip type? I only know how to change it in the .ini file.
I tried changing it in the Alieditor.ini, change file to read only, open alieditor, open V8UHD template, open UDF user database file, go to all services, edit channel (and audio PID's are still incorrect and trying to save without changing/fixing the audio PIDs says bad audio PID1 and audio PID2.
Thanks for any more ideas.

Re: AliEditor with the V8UHD - audio pid1 invalid
You only have to change the chip when you have loaded the list
Re: AliEditor with the V8UHD - audio pid1 invalid
Ok so the procedure would be open alieditor, open v8uhd template, open UDF user database.udf file, change the chip type in the alieditor.ini (assume you mean the udf file is the list?), go to all services which shows the whole channel list, edit the channel and at this point the audio PID's should be OK and should save normally?
Would this be the correct procedure? If not please correct me. Also I only know how to change the chip type in the alieditor.ini file so if there is another way please update on that too. Thank you.

Re: AliEditor with the V8UHD - audio pid1 invalid
I change the chip from the program after loading the UDF
Re: AliEditor with the V8UHD - audio pid1 invalid
Ok how do you change it in the program? Is there a hotkey you press/key combination? I cant find a menu item to change the chip. Thanks for any instructions.
Re: AliEditor with the V8UHD - audio pid1 invalid
Quick access does not work, use the program that I have given you, you can also open it with Open Script

Re: AliEditor with the V8UHD - audio pid1 invalid
Thank you. I can say all the audio pid's are now correct! But that the service names are all blank except for a few that show a random number.
I opened alieditor->open script->select script.ini->select M3602 then click open. Then I load the v8UHD teplate file. Then I load the user_database.udf file. I go to all services. I see everything is correct except the service names are all blank. Any idea here? Thank you

Re: AliEditor with the V8UHD - audio pid1 invalid
That's because you haven't selected the GTMedia model
Re: AliEditor with the V8UHD - audio pid1 invalid
Ok looking again I can only change the chip type when I open a script. The chip type is now correct in the alieditor.ini. I do not see a spot to change/specify the model. If there is a special script file which does this I would need that file supplied and instructions on changing the model to the v8uhd thank you I feel like I am very close to this working.
Re: AliEditor with the V8UHD - audio pid1 invalid
In files you have three options, load list, load script and load Gtmedia model, select the V8UHD that is in the AliEditor directory
Re: AliEditor with the V8UHD - audio pid1 invalid
Ok under files I have open, open script, load template, save, export, close, exit
I clock load template, select grmedia v8uhd. It says “save template ok.
Then i go to file -> load and select my user_database.udf
It loads and channels names are still blank. Screenshot attached.

Re: AliEditor with the V8UHD - audio pid1 invalid
I am using the v8uhd template file from the alieditor on this forum because there were no templates in the zip file you posted. Maybe you have a better template?
Re: AliEditor with the V8UHD - audio pid1 invalid
Sorry I modified the wrong program, this is the one that works well
