Do you mean that your V8 is not working after that?
If it is locked and not working you can try a flash.bin recovery.
Place a copy of the software on a USB stick and rename it "flash.bin"
With the USB in the V8 power on while repeat pressing "Menu" on the remote.
The unit should reload the software.
