12ft dish-c/ku lnb-c=101w, ku=103w ??

Post by Ivn101 »

Hi everyone.
My cband 12ft has a c/ku band lnb.
When I maximize signal for 101w MeTV, if I switch to the ku setting I got Srv 1 thru 7 on 103w.

My motor setting on 103w is off. Neither disecque nor Usals.

If I go back to Cband and move dish just 1 pulse to the west, my ss on MeTV goes from 63 to 54.
Ku goes from 40 to 49 as a peak on Ku.

Could this be caused by my lnb being slightly off-center in its aim at the dish?

Suggestions how to fix?

Thanks in advance for all answers.

C & Ku together always have problems. Havent heard of anyone in America that fix to work perfect on both sides.

Check that the C/KU combo LNB is straight pointing at the center of the dish, not on an angle.

It could also be slight distortions of the dish surface.
Petal solid dishes bend and distort easily.

Update:
SRV1 to SRV7 are now on 101w ku.
So I am totally wrong in my 1st post. My c and ku are focused on 101w.

I didn't know this when I posted.

🤪👍 So all is good after all.

Thank you all for the replies though, all viable answers.
