Jiust few months ago I wrote about this problem.
This finder can be used for tuning antenna systems, motorised dishes, but not for reasonably watching TV channels.

I guess that the 4.2.2 feeds have ONLY one audio channel, because are service feeds.

Yes, it is! The default setting of CEC is OFF, but you can change it to ON, through droid settings panel.

I guess that the problem is in your TV set... I have a 4K Sony tv (2015) and the colours are perfect!
Could you try on a different TV to compare the results?

The spectrum app works on the tuned satellite and you can choose the lower or upper band pressing the yellow button (22 kHz). After you can select different bandwidths and move to the desidered center frequency.

Pressing 6 4 times, the hidden CAS row appears... You can add clines, working only with an USB Wi-Fi adapter.

Tested, some time ago, with 8 different servers, all ok.

Probably because in Europe the channels devoted to DVB have been reduced, in the upper frequencies limit. So it's not worth scanning frequencies usually no more used, in order to save time...

Loop search is intended for monitoring in the time the same, or different, channel(s). It's possible to change the default TP and choose the interesting one. The spectrum is useful for seeing - with differen bandwidths, as desidered, all the transmissions in the selected range, to check the individu...

I prefer the GTMedia channels showing, with the details of each channel. Pressing OK, the list comes out: where is the problem?

Personally I'm much more interested in viewing the channels, not in the gadgets!

The Finder 2 has an important limit on the stored channels: few more than 1400 TV channels, from two satellites, not so much.

A notice: for having Wi-Fi working, it's mandatory to have an USB dongle compatible with the Finder's hardware. I tested with a dongle with Ralink 5370 chip and it works.

Second: on my GT Combo the blind scan works weel; you must be more precise and say on what satellite/s you have seen this problem. Are you sure that the dish is properly aligned?

What sounds strange to me is the index position with the USALS protocol. A part the GT Combo, before I used a lot of receivers made by different manufacturers and never I saw that indication. I know that with the Diseqc a limit of settable positions is present (may be 48), but not with USALS. Anyway...

Yes, in that way you're describing, yes, the signal is downscaled (right verb!) to a resolution -SD - able to be managed by the 'old' devices.

My opinion is that the SCART connector is very very old (40 years?) and doesn't support any HD signal on both sides: in output from the decoder and in the input towards the display.

When I bought it (I was the second customer in Italy), the decoder was fine with very short switching on, but after the second or third up-date, the time increased a lot, passing through a re-boot.
