445.500mhz

Post by ray5107 »

Hello

I purchased a GTMedia V7 Pro as it was advertised that it would cover the amateur TV repeater frequencies in the 70cm band 445.500mhz

I have connected this to a suitable antenna on the terrestrial port and have been unable to tune any signals

I have verified that there is a signal operating on this frequency but get no indication on the box that it is able to see a signal

I have updated the firmware to the latest and this has made no difference

Is there a different firmware that will enable this or does it just not work as advertised on EBay to these frequencies

Thanks

Ray

There are amateur TV transponders on a satellite at 25.5/8e (Es'Hail), are these the channels that you are after, if so you would need to connect your dish cable to the LNB input of the receiver.

Hello Den

I do not have access to the satellite the same as you do in the UK, in Australia we are not in the footprint

I have trying to view the local repeater that transmits on 445.500mhz DVB-T but they receiver never find anything, I can see though the 1248mhz signal which is a DVB-S signal on the satellite port which is fine

This box was suppose to cover the 70cm band 420-450mhz which covers DVB-T 70cm in Australia, unless like the Strong SRT5434 has a firmware which can be update there box and receive 70cm signals

Regards
