6 ft satellite dish

Post by etlam34 »

After months of temptations of upgrading from a 4ft to a 6ft dish, i finally did the move and bought it on amazon!

So far i’ve tested these satellites

133w
125w
107w
105w
103w
101w
99w
97w

I’m very happy with my purchase + the performance of the v7hd! Too bad winters are very harsh here ! I’ll have to make sure the dish is safely dismantled and placed in the shed around mid November.

Next step will be to check out 58w and 55w

Well, yes, this is a direct focal dish, mainly designed for the C band.

greetings, that is the best thing about living in venezuela that there is no restriction for those things here if you want to have a 6 meter diameter antenna you go and shop, ride it and watch tv

The larger dish diameter. the stronger the signal from the satellite.

Of course, for signals in the Ku band, the signal is much stronger and that is why small antennas are used, although that will depend on your location, for example, from Venezuela to see channels of a satellite with a tread for the United States, I need a band antenna ku of 2.40 meters and for C band with a 3.60 meter antenna for satellites with a tread to Latin America, the measurements of the antennas that I am giving you is for me to be able to open most of the tp here in Venezuela

Check craigslist.org or other sites that offer things for sale or free. That would be the least expensive way to start. Try to get a 10 foot or larger.

Start with a 4ft dish + a conical scalar ring and a regular c band lnb. You should be able to receive the strongest signals available in your area.

I checked with no luck so far on several sites and a 10 ft would go against the by-laws of my HOA home owners agreement where i live i cant have more than a 6 ft. dish. Condo living works for me cuz I love the amenities.. Lol.. My last home i had a dish farm but now i live in a 55 and older community... Anyways still looking any help would be greatly appreciated.
