V8 WiFi dongle

Just received a v7 max set up blind scan channel list cccam then connected v8 WiFi dongle pressed WiFi set up onbox in menu message comes up no WiFi device connected true to connect a few more times still the same so put dongle in PC same problem PC does not see it is the new dongle U/S ?

Hi Eak_Dumnern its not a 3G dongle its a V8 WiFi adapter which was sent with freewat v7max STB even PC does not detect it.

If PC doesn't recognize it try installing the drivers for the adapter first and see if it can now detect it, but then again are we talking about the PC not even detecting there is new hardware plugged in or it doesn't detect the brand so it can't install drivers? If it is the second then installing the correct drivers will solve it but it sounds like it doesn't even detect the adapter, which is a sign that the adapter might be faulty (probably a loose or cold solder).

The adapters can be opened very easy, just taking care of not breaking it, it could be that it was poorly soldered and can be easily fixed. The adapters have a surprisingly good reach and can be used on a PC.
