Hi new to gt media and bud dish need advice
I just got a bud dish and a gtmedia v7s in hopes to use it for pv channels I live in Canada what can I receive and what is the best bird to point to also I tried pointing to 103w on my smaller dish ku and the v7s couldn't pick nbc channels what the heck thought this thing is supposed to get s2 8psk signals wandering if I did something wrong also when I get my cband set up what can I receive for power v Chan's on lyngsat just the brown marked Chan's or???? Any help would be great thanks
Re: Hi new to gt media and bud dish need advice
What kind of c band dish are you using? Also what size?
For 103w ku i was able to receive nbc on a 36" dish.
You need 69% quality to lock those.
On my sathero, i need more then 50% in order to lock. The v7 will show 69%.
I'm located in quebec city canada.
I was also able to pick up a few channels with a 4' prime focus solid c band dish.
Try 91w 3820V
Fox mux pv it always autoroll and fairly easy to receive as the signal is booming!!
I was also able to pick up A F N on 34w , but apparently those are down right now.

Re: Hi new to gt media and bud dish need advice
So as for the NBC MUX on 103w, you'll need at least a 39" dish. The first TP (11730 H 4000) seems to be a dud, but everything after that seems to be good. Kind of a redundant statement, but a digital satellite finder is way better than the old style with a needle. At the receiver end, check your LNB and L.O. settings. Oh, and for what it's worth, I'm in northern California (Weed)Lance007 wrote:I just got a bud dish and a gtmedia v7s in hopes to use it for pv channels I live in Canada what can I receive and what is the best bird to point to also I tried pointing to 103w on my smaller dish ku and the v7s couldn't pick nbc channels what the heck thought this thing is supposed to get s2 8psk signals wandering if I did something wrong also when I get my cband set up what can I receive for power v Chan's on lyngsat just the brown marked Chan's or???? Re: Hi new to gt media and bud dish need advice
Depending on where you are located most of Power Vu channels can be reach in north america arc. Look for channel in Lyngsat with highlighted green or dark brown named Power Vu and Power vu+. For the North America softcam make a formal request here:Lance007 wrote:What can I get for power view with a 8 foot cband I'll be getting one in a few weeks it's solid panel aluminum interested in power view channels but confused on Wich I can receive on lyngsat

Re: Hi new to gt media and bud dish need advice
It's 8ft solid panel haven't set it up yet still frozen ground were I am also wanted to get the nbc mux on 103 with my 39 inch and I get it and few other Chan's but no nbc on tp 11880h I get o signal if I change it to 11880v it jumps from 69 to 20 to o repeats like that able to scan channels in on the tp but signal doesn't hold out so confused almost thinking it's my cheap lnb
Re: Hi new to gt media and bud dish need advice
So confusing it is a crappy universal circular and linear combo that was sold to get 119 and 118.7 could this be my problem I can't find my straight linear lnb so I used this
Re: Hi new to gt media and bud dish need advice
Circular LNB will not work for 103W. You will need a standard/ Universal Ku lineal LNB for your 39". A standard C-band LNB single or double output will work for the 8'. C- Band LNB will bring a dielectric small plate used to convert the LNB to Circular (NSS Satellites) to be placed inside in designated rails.
Re: Hi new to gt media and bud dish need advice
Getting great results here on 103w on a 36” and universal lnb .
Nbc 11760 + 11880 at 74% quality
12134 69% quality
12145 80% quality
12080 72% quality
Nbc 11760 + 11880 at 74% quality
12134 69% quality
12145 80% quality
12080 72% quality
Re: Hi new to gt media and bud dish need advice
Do they autoroll? Anything good on those? I get about 75% on the fedex channels.
Re: Hi new to gt media and bud dish need advice
K got the nbc channels finally I found my linear lnb and now they work wierd how I was receiving half the channels on a circular combo was meant for fish net back in day to get 119 an 118.7 on one lnb wierd

Re: Hi new to gt media and bud dish need advice
Also I have a cband lnb and seen the dielectric plate that came with it and am confused if I need to have it in or out I want to receive 125w and 131 possibly 91 are those circular cband or linear
Re: Hi new to gt media and bud dish need advice
If you look on lyngsat to the left column, you will see the frequencies and polarization.
L left
R right
H horizontal
V vertical
You need the dialectic plate for left or right only.
It's mostly for atlantic satellites (between 15w and 61w)
