Não actualizam, porque não querem.
Deve ser difícil,antes não era, actualizações não faltavam,agora que é importante não a fazem.
Estou farto disto,paguei a caixa e ainda tive de pagar alfândega.

Não amigo, não percebeu, é que se eu comprar outro com actualizações,depressa fica como o anterior,sem elas,ora eu adquiri o v7hd por ter o youtube,afinal...fui enganado, entretanto acabam as actualizações para o v7shd,e fico na mesma.
Resultado,fico com o aparelho que na caixa diz youtube, afinal...engano.

You are confusing yourself and others, this thread is talking about the V7HD... now you are talking about the V7S HD which is a completely different box. It has been posted that there are no updates (for the time being) for the V7HD, the V7S HD is being updated like all the other GTMedia boxes ( viewtopic.php?f=39&t=15244 ). Tell me is Microsoft sending updates for W98 or WXP... of course not, so you have a choice (1) keep what you have or (2) update to a newer system. I bet you don't complain on the Microsoft site that they stopped supporting Windows XP.

The problem with youtube is whenever a new firmware comes out for the GTMedia boxes it will work for a few days and then youtube makes some changes and we loose youtube. I don't know why they do that but that is the way it is.

I have both gmedia v7hd and v7s but the v7s is far best than the former. The latest update for v7s is just last week but for v7 was last year in march

Check that your remote is working by looking at the LED through a digital camera. You should see it flashing.

If your problem is that the unit is not responding, it does not boot and then show a picture, then you can try the flash.bin recovery method.

If your unit is booting to a picture and your remote is dead, open your remote by prizing it apart with your two thumb nails and look for broken tracks or the IR LED loose.
If you need a replacement remote try a universal remote using the "Skybox" or "Openbox" option.

flash.bin recovery is done like this.

Place a copy of the unpacked software (the .bin file) on a USB stick and rename it "flash.bin"
With the USB in the unit, power on while repeat pressing "Menu" on the remote. You must use the V7 remote on the V7.
The unit should reload the software.

Also other users say that you must use a USB stick, not a card holder etc and that stick must be 32Gb or under.
Use the rear USB port on units that have two ports.

I have had units that will not recover.
Try using the same software as was in the unit when it crashed, not the new update software.
You must use the correct software, ie that for the V7HD for the V7HD etc, not software for any other freesat units.

Try even older software as the file for flash.bin.

Look at the LED in the USB stick. When the TV shows the message "USB Upgrade, do not turn off" you should see the LED on the USB flash as the file is loaded.
The USB LED should also flash a few times as the unit first powers on and looks at it.
Also users have said to use the rear USB port for this on V8 units.

Uso o V7 HD aqui no Brasil com 14 satélites,muito bom esse aparelho, nunca deu problema.
