What is the best power suppły for vs7? I just killed three or more.

Oryginal is 12V 1.2A. May I use 12V 2A? Will not be too much?

Many user use a 2A supply as they have less problems.

It is OK so long as it is 12v and the same positive center.

I think it doesn't work because there's no Croatian language in menu. Speak with GTMedia team and If You can make the translation in Croatian, then it will work.

I subbmitted also this bug before, but since they add romanian language, it worked for me and i also forgot about this bug.

V7Pro LCN "ON" after search

I have tested and the option in terrestrial changes to "ON" after any search, DVB--T search or DVB-S search.

Tested with V256, 20210129 V7Pro

I had earlier noted that the LNB setting was not saved if you power off at the wall, not by the remote to standby.
I am now unsure if this is also a fault.

V7Pro software V256

Issue 1:
I found today that I have no control over the sound volume on the HD channels on my local multistream TP, 12570 V 26810 Isat19@166e.
If I changed the audio setting away from "BS" I then have volume control.

Only the HD channels on the multistream TP were affected and only with Menu BS audio output setting selected.

Issue:2
I also found the wifi adapter I have use on many units kept reporting Wifi On / Wifi Off and sometimes when it did this the unit froze.
This was much worse with a USB stick plugged in, with or with out time shift enabled.
No Ccam active.

Issue:3
Blind scanning misses a lot of TP's with good signals that are watchable.
Please can we have a slower accurate scan?
Something like this occurred with the early software in the old V7HD.

Issue:4
If you type in a channel number that does not occur on the current list, eg 9999, a massage comes up reporting that.
The issue is that this message does not time out and self remove and brings up the current channel info banner as well.

Issue:5
Doing a DVB-T auto scan removes any existing channels from the favorites list you have set up.
Other unit have done this too, like the V8Pro2.
It looks like doing a auto scan removes "ALL" channels from the DVB-T channel list at the start of an auto scan.
This may be why those in Italy are having so many problems getting all their channels.
I recommend only auto scanning once and then only do manual scans after that of you will loose channels from your lists.

No Issue:
Not an issue but for those of you that like things.
If you press the power off button on the remote during a scan you are asked if you want to move to standby.

Edited Monday 8:
Issue:6
The DiSEqC repeat option in the menu allows for settings of 1 to 30.
This is not needed only 0 to 2 is needed.
The bigger issue is that if you change this option from the factory reset value of 0 (Zero) you can not change it back.
Factory reset will restore it, but after you reload your channel list it is 1 again.
On setting of 1 repeat it sends a single DiSEqC 1.1 command four times, the setting of Zero sent only two times.
If you set it to 30 it sends so many times that the "no signal" resend switch settings function comes on and the commands are repeated again, so that the full set of commands are never finished and the unit never get signal. 2 repeats may have been needed for older types of DiSEqC 1.0 switches, but not for these newer switches.

2 issues:

1) No option for setting rf frequency in menu

2) No automatic standby
1: What frequency do you want to set?
TP or LNB?

2: Are you wanting the unit to power on to standby when you power it on from the wall?
The UHD has this function and it cause some issues, If you set it the unit locked and you needed to use a USB flash.bin recovery.
they fixed this for the UHD, but they may have removed it to be safe.

1. I want to set RF out frequency (not tp frequency); you know that on my TV I need to find the channel by searching it on my old TV, maybe it would be good to select desired frequency (i.e. emiting channel e.g. S35 or e.g. 215MHz)

2. It is connected with inactivity timeout. So, when I do not use it for e.g. 180 minutes it should go to standby automatically

@ brisel
1. What other connections have you got on your TV, are you using the (RF out) from the receiver to your TV.
I have got a V7Pro, i will do a check and see if i can use the (RF OUT) of this receiver, if i can will find what channel it is set at.
2.Another reason to go into (standby) would this be another term for (powersave) which some TV's have.

Have checked the RF OUT, this morning 12 Feb 1115hrs, have found two channels (ch 41) appox 634mhz / (ch 67) appox 842mhz.
This is with the (PAL) system here in the UK.

You know, my rec is emitting on c8 191MHz and on s32 387MHz, which is very interesting. It is not same as yours.

I have a friend who uses it on 599 MHz.

Code: Select all

https://drive.google.com/file/d/15YcxVPHwhzLkZ1QAGXv2Z1QI2_ZKrtzG/view?usp=sharing
[/url]

And I have found one post which says that 209 MHz is the frequency rf out if emitting (viewtopic.php?p=92448 post 2).

Another post says ch 10.

Your freqs are (ch 41) appox 634mhz / (ch 67) appox 842mhz.

So there must be some issue. RF tunes can emit on all frequencies, but there is no setting for that.

Btw, I do not have sound on my sound system, definitely PAL BG for me does not give good sound for me; i receive hum only, and picture is clear.

Engineers should look on this issue with RF.

the channels you found doing a analogue scan with your TV, have you tried a manual scan.
My Sony Bravia TV found some ghost channels and the main channel on C10 BS.
It may be that you are on a ghost channel, not the main frequency.

Also when you scan with your TV can you change the scan settings?
It may be your country location setting on your TV does not use the correct frequency for this output. try other countries.

The frequency is not adjustable from GT Media units. It would be a nice option, but would depend on what hardware GT Media used in that output, it may be a fixed frequency transmitter unit or a controlled changeable one.

There is the sleep option on the remote.

Hi.
V7 Pro (V3.2.88.9.256 29/01/2021) has a DTT pixelation problem just on the MUX 514000K/8M. (In older software versions it also happens)
Same MUX, same antenna, tested on a GTC and a V8UHD and everything works fine. Software problem? Thanks

That could be a video format issue as the GTC and UHD are the units that do 4k.

I use gtmedia 7pro. firmware 3.2 (29.01). the territory of use is Russia. I only use dtv-t2. it finds 20 channels well. but unfortunately, as I purchased the TV delivery, YouTube does not work. it seems that the search is successful, the Wi-Fi is connected successfully. software when you start the video - when the url is being received-a black screen appears and the console does not respond and freezes. I sent a video with the problem to the technical support email. but there is no answer. it would be good to make an update via Wi-Fi ( or via the Internet). and about every time with a flash drive is not convenient.

Hi,
I have the same 2 issues reported by @gost, and in my experience, WiFi key change issue could be solved increasing the timing of the auto scan (refresh) for networks.

in addition to those 2 bugs:

Bug 3
At youtube app - country selection, the PG + - keys don't work, so you have to use the remote arrow keys starting from the "U" one by one to the "C" or whatever your contry is.

Bug 4
The Youporn app works worst than youtube (same pattern but worst), and even locks the device (too much porno out there?) could be a buffer or cache issue.

GTMedia_V7PRO firmware 29/01/2021 (2 devices)
WiFi antenna: MTK7601 (2devices)

PS: It would be nice to have a Netflix app to fully use the WiFi option.

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

I have a question about the local time for the unit...

Where does it get it from?: the satelite signal (now pointing at 34.5w), the WiFi, or the TDT signal (Colombia GMT -05:00)?
I ask because when I set it up at Menu/System/Local Time Setting, and turn ON GMT usage at -05:00 (summer time Off because we don't have that), and turn off the unit using the remote control, it displays 7:25 (AM or PM don't know) but the actual time is 12:36PM.
And when I set it up at Menu/System/Local Time Setting, and turn OFF GMT usage, and set it up manually the date and correct time, and turn off the unit using the remote control, after a few hours it displays the wrong time (again), but the date remains well (as far as I've seen).

So that behavior is making me crazy because I don't know how to set the unit to show the correct time for my location.

Thanks.

Hi, until yesterday everything was ok until I tried to change the resolution on my GtMediaV7-HD.
Now after an initialization and a green flash all goes black and I can't even access the menu to make any changes, whatsoever.
Is there a way I can reset the options as they were before "in a blind way"?
Thank you

Hi, try connecting it with the AV analog video output (you must have the right cable)

Otherwise using the RF to TV output, in this case you have to do a channel search on TV for analog VHF channels not digital, when you see menu image you can make the right adjustments.

Se sei Italiano oltre che in inglese puoi scrivere anche in Italiano così ci capiamo meglio.
