new V7PRO is not working with DiseqC 1.2 motor

Post by fujara »

Dear GTMedia friends, my new V7PRO doesn´t work with the DiseqC 1.2 motors.
Tested on my 2 motors : SG2100 and DG380. Also the function GotoX isn´t working, no move after entering any position number.
Is there problem in my receiver only ? or is this global V7PRO issue ? Please, confirm or dispute this. Thanks for every comment.

Why use (DiseqC 1.2), would it not be best to use (USALS), I use this on the said receiver, and have no issues.

Thanks to STRETCH and Tom.w for reply. I´ll try test it with USALS.
But primary I use Diseqc 1.2 function. Please, if is possible, test Diseqc 1.2 function in your receiver, thanks.
Maybe my receiver is defected.
I have tested with original power adapter. I will test with more powerful adapter tonight, if I have any.

Dear Lining, be kind to me, please,
send me correct configuration steps + settings for satellite Astra 3B (23.5 east), for example.
I have saved this satellite as position nr. 1. Very thanks.

Check out (dishpointer) when the site comes up, put in the satellite that you wish to receive / plus your post code, put the cross were your dish is, the page will give you long / lat of your location, elev of dish plus other info.
Once you have got the long / lat information make a note of it, for when you set up your receiver you will require this information.

Just check as you set up each location / position on the V7, make sure you are on the correct location for that satellite.
I set up using USALS and then switch the motor control to DiSEqC and fine tune the satellite using a weak TP and then save the position.
Saving the position saves it doth to your motor and in the GT Media unit antenna setting, so if you set up the antenna setting for your previous positions with out moving to those positions you will have over written the positions in the motor.

My V7Pro2 is two days away, so i can test this then.

Dear GTMedia friends, my device seems to be defective. I have tested many times to set up this but without success.
All Diseqc and LNB settings are OK, but still doesn´t move to any position.
For example, 19.2 east is my saved position nr.2 with these settings :
LNB Freq : Universal (9750-10600), Diseqc 1.0 - disable, Diseqc 1.1 - disable, 22K - Auto, LNB Power - Auto. Motor setup - Diseqc 1.2
After saving I continued with the position settings : Position - 2, GotoX - 2 and Save.
No motor moving after this... I have tried also move the motor with west and east arrow, but no moving was detected :-(

Also I have tested this with USALS, no move was detected after confirming my location.

Tested motors works correctly after connecting to another sat receiver. So where is the problem ?

Do you have a tone type satellite finder? The type with the moving needle and LED's that show you the 18 volt, 13 volt and 22kHz on or off.
If so watch the 22kHz LED to see if the DiSEqC commands are being sent, a flashing pulse.

Are you using the motor mover through a DiSEqC switch? I think not as you have the DiSEqC 1.0 and 1.1 set to disabled.

Most USALS movers have buttons on them to move the dish at the mover.
Can you push the move button there and make the dish move?
This will show there is power getting to the mover.

When you do get onto the roof to check the motor, there should be a small led by the side of the screw connectors, when you connect your receiver it should be (green), if it is orange / going on/off, you will have to check the cable run / connectors etc.
It is also best to use USALS.
Good Luck, and wish for a sunny day.

Try resetting to factory settings , removing all limits, and resetting to 0.
PS.In the instructions for the motor should be written how to do it.

I have tested my new V7Pro and DiSEqC commands are not working, no switching, no motor control.
Version 20200903 and the 0707 version that was in the unit from the factory.

GT Media notified.

The pulsed command that is sent every time you change channel is a DiSEqC 1.0 port one instruction.

Thanks to Feralkiwi for testing and confirming my problem with motor. My trip onto roof is not needed :-)
I suppose that will be software problem of some product series in factory. Or is this common problem with hardware part ?

It is first release software. They will work to fix this fast, I expect to see a fix in a few days.
It does look to be a software upgrade fix thing.
Not all V7Pro units are affected as other users report their unit working well.

Dear Feralkiwi and others,
do you have any news regarding the fixing Diseqc 1.2 in v7PRO ?
No feedback from developers ?

Nothing yet, but I hope they are working on it.

Please what hardware version do you have, that may be important.
