EPG Rojo 77°W
Good morning friends, would there be a way to have EPG for Rojo 77 ° W?
I appreciate your work!
I appreciate your work!
Re: EPG Rojo 77°W
The provider for that system uses a custom coded EPG which does not work on any of the Freesat/GTMedia boxes... sorry. I have had it working on some other brand, older STBs but i have not seen any new models with their EPG working.

Sorry but i dont understand what older decoder's have that any of the modern GTmedia dont, why we cant see epg con 77w Rojo system? A lot of other brands olders and new ones show full epg, like Dreambok, iLink, Viewsat, jynxbox even VisionPlus TV capture for PC, and its not 8PSK Turbo

Here in new Zealand the DVB-T uses MHEG5 format and the PayTV Sky uses another again that does not open.
This is done to make you buy their own boxes to watch your local Freeview channels and make generic boxes, that do more, fail on EPG. It is a bit like Philips made the philips screw all those years ago to stop you opening your TV / radio.
GT Media have my files for MHEG5. The GTCombo is the first box that opens MHEG5 EPG.
The older boxes mentioned may have been "Freeview Approved" boxes (made with EPG software from the provider) that are now out of date and do not open the newer video formats. I have old boxes like that, but they do not do H264 etc or open powervu etc too.

Re: EPG Rojo 77°W
EPG is sent through transponder 12486 V, SR 20000 in a couple of data channels, the normal EPG (2 hours) is sent through SID 36861 and the Extended EPG (EEPG) through SID 36862. That transponder has an additional 6 data channels with SID 150, 36852, 36853, 36857, 36859 and 36863.
The firmware in older receivers would download that data packet and would assign the respective EPG to the SIDs referenced in it, that's why to "populate" the EPG you need to stay a couple of minutes (or more) in a channel in that EPG.
Channels in that transponder include: Teleritmo (276), Imagen 3.2 (302), the adult channels 485, 489 and 491 and the 10 radio channels.

can you help us to record this transponder (12486 V, SR 20000) data, then send it to us,CaliMex wrote: ↑Fri Aug 06, 2021 8:04 amEPG is sent through transponder 12486 V, SR 20000 in a couple of data channels, the normal EPG (2 hours) is sent through SID 36861 and the Extended EPG (EEPG) through SID 36862. Re: EPG Rojo 77°W
Here is the file, if you check the data it has, the EPG is contained in the EIT and the SDT instructs the receiver where to find the EPG data (Servide ID 36861) and what unique ID to link it (the descriptors user private, which if I am not mistaken it has two because one is the EPG of two hours and the other is the EEPG or extended EPG of 3 days).

Hopefully something can be done to get EPG or at least scan the channels with their respective names (their name is included in the SDT).
I hope the file is useful.

Re: EPG Rojo 77°W
Let me know if you need a longer recording or the recordings of other transponders in the same satellite.
Re: EPG Rojo 77°W
I have been checking the DB Edit Tool, and there are some configuration xml that are hidden, I have been able to see that there are parameters that are not shown in the software such as the orig_network_id so I activated it to see what information came from the decoder and it was at 0 , I decided to edit it manually and to my surprise when I loaded the channel list back into the decoder, the epg appeared active and it showed me the information of the time of the present / next program but it did not show a name or description.
in the description it only shows "user defined"
the decoder apparently was not taking the network id as well as other parameters that surely does not allow to capture the epg correctly.

Re: EPG Rojo 77°W
GTMedia team, some test file that share to us to check if the EPG of the Sat 77w works?
Re: EPG Rojo 77°W
We are studying the encoding format of the epg string.
By the way, we already fix the problem that the channel name on the 77W satellite cannot be parsed during the process of scanning the station.
after we fix the epg encoding format issue, we will do a new firmware released
