some FTA not getting scanned with V& Max

Post by knotyew »

My V7 Max is not picking up certain transponders in FTA mode, I get real good signal and good quality but when I scan the transponder, no channels are picked up. ION and Fox News are among some of the channels not getting scanned. What could be the problem? TIA for any help... :D

Can you just confirm which satellite you have this issue with, is just this one satellite, do you get this issue on others.

It could be that these channels are a TV format that the box does not do, like H265 or 4k.

91 W 4020 V 31250 and 103 W 4040 H 3000, I get good signal and quality but no channel scans in. So what box would pickup these formats?

Lyngsat dot com lists the channels on 91w as encrypted.

The channels on 103w look to be old Mpeg2 and may have been updated.

Try scanning these from the TP menu so you only scan that TP and set to all channels so you can see what is there now.

I use TVRO Sat for my sat info and they seem to be updated pretty regularly. Thanks will try the scan method...

Still have a look after you scan with "ALL" channels not just FTA.

Those ar DCII channels, no box except a pre authorized Motorola DSR 6000 will get them.
