killed my box

hi guys,
hoping someone can help,
i was stupid and updated to the latest channel list without first updating the firmware,
now the box powers on but blank screen and totally unresponsive to the remote control !!
have i killed my box or is there some kind of recovery or factory restore that i can bring it back.
all help greatly appreciated

The first method to try is the USB

Copy the software onto a USB stick and rename it "flash.bin"
Power on the unit while pressing the Menu button on the remote.
The unit will reload the software.

If this does not work you will need to use the RS232 method.
