Re: GTMEDIA_V8 Series Bug Tracking System
I used the latest version of software, downloaded from this site. It didnt help. Also when I wrote that my device is shutting down when I plug in the sat cable that was what I meant. When the cable is disconnected it is working, when the cable is plugged it is shutting down. I wasnt using it for a while but earlier it was working fine, now is not.... Maybe its broken? Any ideas?STRETCH wrote: ↑Tue Sep 24, 2024 12:52 pmCan you confirm what software you have on this receiver, the last update for this receiver was three years ago, V3.2.88.9.519 5th Aug 2021.
What do you mean in saying ( Turns off when i plug in satellite cable).
The satellite cable should be already connected before you switch on the receiver, doing it your way will cause it to short circuit.

some models does not come with circuit protection and or sensitive tuners. Power supplies also range from different amp. Some runs load on voltage with time. Have you try using another like 2.0amp instead of 1.5?? Doing a quick inspection does not take long time. Also, are you loading any channel list? have you try doing a factory reset and connecting the coax after without loading anything?PJR wrote: ↑Wed Sep 25, 2024 3:33 pmIt all fine. Diffrent device is running properly on thic cable.

Re: GTMEDIA_V8 Series Bug Tracking System
Try this.
In antenna settings, or is it set up / other setting, set LNB power "off".
Then connect the LNB cable.
If it is still running turn the LNB power on again.
Question. Is there any other box connected on this LNB cable?

Re: GTMEDIA_V8 Series Bug Tracking System
I found the problem. It was damaged power suply. It was giving 9.6 V instead of 12 V. When the device didnt have to suport converter it was working. But when it tried to support converter it couldnt because there was to low voltage. Problem solved.PJR wrote: ↑Wed Sep 25, 2024 7:02 pmI did factory reset and it seems that nothing happend - like it didnt work..... Channel list was loaded. Re: GTMEDIA_V8 Series Bug Tracking System
When setting recording duration to 1hr on the V8 X receiver the actual event time recorded is 42:43 instead of the intended 60:00
I have tried restarts and have been able to replicate the concern
Any ideas anyone?

It likely timed out when the file size reached 4Gb.

Re: GTMEDIA_V8 Series Bug Tracking System
I’m using a Sandisk USB stick to record to 36 gb I think. Is 4gb the maximum file size on this particular STB? This is the first GT Media box I have owned so I apologize for all the questions but I want to be as familiar as I can with them inside and out.
