Please I got a new GTmedia V8 finder two months ago, it worked for just two weeks and now it doesn't detect signal anymore. I've factory reset but still same, I even upgraded the software to see if that would help but it didn't. Any reason or solution for this?

Ok on V8X

Nothing on V8 PRO 2

Nothing on V8 UHD

Has the channel gone to encryption, but is not flagging the $ so the units are not looking for a code that the V8X is using?

There is an option for LNB power "ON" "OFF".
Check that that is set correctly.

Would it be possible to add an option to sort satellites by geographical location to the V8UHD? I do not feel comfortable using editors or posted sat lists in my receiver. This should assist in case I need to delete and re-add a satellite.

The best way to do that is to start fresh and enter the satellites in the order you want and scan them in the order you want.

Can V8X lock this TP?
These are all scrambled channels.
Even you can lock it, you can't scan any channels.

Yes, all the channels are encrypted.

Right, the symbol rate is too high.

Get it.
Actually, V8UHD can't get this limitation.
I think about 55000 is the highest.

You are correct its "the best way" but not always practical as some of the sats I like to watch are borderline in reception so I have to scan them when the signal is at its best.
Also if I find a sat I need to add later I will need to do it from scratch.

Hi skate666 ;)

I have the distinct impression that every time you tune a channel encoded in Irdeto the receiver freezes and you have to switch it off and on again. Does anyone confirm?

On V8 UHD full memory with only 4953 tv channels and 47 radio.
I tuned only 12 satellites :|
And all the others where do I put them ?

V8x Audio problem.
This is a small problem and has a work around but needs attention. When using a channel which has 2nd audio (58w for example Eng/Spa) the first audio works fine. Selecting the 2nd audio you loose sound and have to go up/down a channel to get the 2nd audio. Same happens when you go back to first audio, no sound until you go up/down a channel. It seems the setting is set, but not applied until you change channel. I tested a V7HD and it does not have this problem.
I also noticed this problem on V8X but on ARTE channel (Hotbird 13°E) which has more of three audios, everything works well and audios are heard immediately upon track change

I don't know if this information can be useful:

Arte has more of three dolby AC3 audio channels, while the channels where I found this defect are feeds in which the audio is only mpeg, feed was biss encrypted but made clear, Arte is FTA
Please just wait the next firmware.
I think it will be fixed in the next firmware.
Thank you.
With the latest firmware the problem seems solved, great job!

Thank you

1. I can not serch chanels by PID? Problem is with PCR PID. There are only 4 characters and I need to enter 5 digits.

2. if I press the info button twice, I can read the description of the current broadcast. I can see what's next, but can't read the description. Can you add functions so that after pressing the right arrow there will be a description of the next program?

Get it.
We will try if we can get more room for more channel storage.

We have a GT MEDIA V8X that has difficulty receiving signals from transponders that are very close to each other.

Example we have 3 services on a satellite Optus d2 @ 152e at 12736H 3580mbs,12740H 3580mbs and 12746H 3580mbs. Who are all using the same key in BISS

Even though the 3 chs load when scanned, when you attempt to view them you go to the 1st. ch and it may open then you go to the second ch it sometimes loads or it locks up as it tries to find the BISS key an requires the box to be rebooted and if it does open up sometimes the ch it is showing is wrong as It has decoded the lower ch. this also happens with the 3rd ch. the tuner has difficulty resolving the 3 different chs separately. I have confirmed this using a different receiver.
