V8 Pro2 Remote

I’ve been using my V8 Pro2 for a week now. I must say that I’m very disappointed with its performance. Worst thing about it is not so much the heat but that the remote hardly works at all. I would not recommend buying it. BTW this is my forth GTMedia box. I own a V8 Super, Nova and GTC Android and they are so much better.

I took the cover off mine and drilled a 12mm hole in the black top cover where the remote receiver is.
The cover plastic is too dark.
If you use it with the cover off you can point the remote at any wall and it will work.
The same thing happens with the other new Freesat units, like the V7s and V7plus.
Also if you are pointing the remote up to the unit it will not work so well.
Tilt the unit down towards you.
