I bought the GTMEDIA V8 finder/receiver with screen not little green box, but I can't lock signal with it. I am able to find signal with green bluetooth device/phone no problem but would rather use this.
I am choosing Eutelsat117/west but won't lock on.
I even created an Orby 116.8 with no luck
Do I need firmware update??
Please help
Thanks

If you’re looking for orby you need to input the proper frequency. Go to lyngsat.com and check out 117w . There are 2 frequencies listed.

The v8 nova locks up those transponders just fine with a blind scan and scans all those channels in.

umm, you could buy an Orby TV receiver and sub to those channels if you want to get them, otherwise as long as they are encrypted they are not receivable on any other receiver.

I realize that.
but since the guy that started the thread in the first place was trying to scan it in i thought he may have had a fix
