Fallan los subtitulos

Post by techco »

True some FTA Receivers may not do subtitles at all while others do them occasionally if its in the satellite signal, many movies made in the USA are made for release at the Cinema first and don't have subtitles (especially many filmed in Panoramic) often do not have subtitles as movie producers generally don't like them trashing up their picture.

They may add subtitles to those same movies when put on DVD or Bluray discs.

FTA Receivers can only read and display subtitles if they are already present in the Satellite transmission it receives. The major TV networks like NBC, ABC, CBS, Fox and others (maybe BBC, others) generally have a machine that adds subtitles automatically during transmission. Some do not.

Pay TV services like Dishnet and Directv most likely have their own machines that add subtitles to their transmissions.

Hope this explains why some things you watch on Satellite have subtitles and some do not. Good Luck ! :D

Gracias,
..
Thank you,
Almost all the films that are broadcast on Spanish channels have several subtitle languages.
These receivers would continue to recommend them to anyone who doesn't care about this.
Can't fix it in a firmware revision?
