Re: V8 Max bitrate
I looked at the specs for the V8 Nova's and I didn't see a (maximum bitrate) listed but they have to be able to handle the below.
Video at 1080p runs at approx (8,000kbps = 8 mbps)
Audio generally runs at around 512kbps for stereo = .5 mbps
(X 2)!!! --- Here's where something else gets thrown into the equation, the V8 Nova's Specs say it can "Record one channel, can view another channel at the same time" !
So a V8 Nova would have to be able to process at least 14-16mbps when it does the 2 channels at once (it probably reduces the resolutions) down to 1080i or even 720p when it does it but I don't know for sure, electronics are usually always built with some (head end room).
So I wouldn't be surprised if the V8's can handle around 18-20 mbps bitrate when doing 2 channels at once.
I could be wrong so perhaps a GTmedia Tech or a mod would have access to more exact information and share it with us.
Good Luck !

Around 32+ mbps is when it starts choking. No complaints whatsoever..Not bad at all for the price.
