I don't have a disqc switch, just a 22k tone switch , on for cband off for ku

10ft cband western arc
4ft ku motorized western arc.
v7hd works fine
3v8novas works fine
XXXXX works fine
XXXXX work fine.

same room same cable.

no matter how long i leave it off it doesn't have a signal.

Edit by the rule.
That set up should not work as when the instructions for the ku motor dish are sent, the 22kHz tone used for the data transmission will switch the 22kHz switch.
It must be a fluke that the other units worked on that set up. When the switch sees the 22kHz tone it will switch the power over to the C band dish for each "Bit" of data sent.

You will need to use a DiSEqC switch or re set up to this cable setting.

Box--------------Ku Motor-------22kHz switch "Off"--------- Ku LNB.
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . \--ON--------C band LNB

As the motor commands are not sent with the antenna setting for the C band, the Ku dish will not move.

This will hold power on the mover and it will get the move commands with no interruption from the switch.

How you ever got this working with the 22kHz switch before the motor is beyond me!!.

Gracias.
When a blind scan is done the unit uses it internal clock to measure the frequency and SR.
This is not always accurate and your LNB can drift off frequency too.
This on normal use does not matter. 21999 and 22000 work fine.

Most boxes will not allow you to add a TP that is close in numbers to one that is already on the list.
So if you already have 10729 V 21999 then it will not allow you to add 10729 V 22000.
I think the spacing in GT Media boxes is 3MHz, so you could add 10726 V 22000.
I do not know what spacing there is for SR numbers.

If you have the incorrect setting for your LNB frequency set, the correct frequency and SR on the TP list will not find the channels.
Blind scanning should find all the channels that are there, but if you have a LNB frequency set to 10750 or 13000 you will not find them if the LNB is a "Universal" LNB that uses setting 9750/10600 as the setting 13000 does not turn on the 22kHz for the universal LNB upper band.

So yes use V only for your community dish and set your LNB to 9750/10600 and then try a blind scan.
You got both H and V channels scanned in with "Auto" polarity set as your community dish has no H so returned the V channels twice.

the box isn't set up with the motor, that is in the living room, this box is straight to the switch then the lnb. I have 8 outputs and this one doesn't move either dish.

the v8nova that moves the dish is hooked up properly . works just fine.
10.5 cband western arc 75deg to 139deg. 4ft ku with motor, full western arc.

Is it your LNB that has 8 outputs, or do you have a splitter after the LNB?
If you are using a splitter, the unit with H polarity will hold all other units on H polarity as the 18V will hold over the 13V.

If your LNB is 8 output, then this should not happen.

To check, scan with the new unit, while the Nova on a H channel, and then again while it is on a V channel.
If while doing this you see all the channels, then the problem is a fault in the 8 output LNB or that you are using a splitter.

cband lnb 2 outputs to switch -to receiver 22k on

I put both videos on my google drive.

Oh yes the outputs to the lnb is 13v and 17v but the max watt is 3.1
a little low to change the switches don't you think.

One bug that really "bugs me" in my v8UHD, is that you have to delete ALL channels, instead of just one particular channel of one satellite. Or i want to delete all channels from an specific satellite, and i cant, because the only option i have, is to delete ALL channels from ALL satellites, and i dont want that, i just want to delete channels from 1 specific satellite.

Another one:
The info banner, i really need the signal and quality % bars on the info banner, like the v8x.

Also: No encryption displayed. You dont know if the channel is power vu, biss, FTA, irdeto etc etc etc because there isnt any information about this on the info banner.

Another one: On the Autobiss function: when i find a Biss wildfeed, you have the option to select OK or Cancel Autobiss, so i select OK, then 2-5 minutes later "SEED UPLOADED" on screen, 5 seconds later this banner dissapeared, and if i STAY on this channel, i have black screen for 10-15 or more minutes, I HAVE TO CHANGE channel and the returned to the wildfeed channel to get picture on screen. if i stay on the channel, no cw loaded and no picture. As soon as i change channel and get back, everything worked correctly.

If i find some more bugs, i'll let you know
Thanks

RamboHack
Oh, welcome back, friend.
About the Autobiss, yes, you must change channel to get the new key, because server will not send it to box.

This morning I tried the v8x and it work flawlessly but when I turned it off and back on it wouldn’t work, hasn’t worked since . this morning was the first time it worked but just once…ODD don’t you think?

今天上午,我嘗試了v8x,它工作完美無瑕,但當我關閉它,並回到它不會工作,沒有工作以來。 今天早上是第一次工作, 但只是一次...你不覺得奇怪嗎?

That sounds like a bad power supply, try another power supply from another freesat receiver and see if it works.

When you say it does not work, Is there any display on the box?

Have you tried a flash.bin recovery?

Did you find a solution to your switching issue?
Your two mp4 links both report "not available, in owners bin".

the box has no signal , when the coax is disconnected and plugged back in (while the box is on) it works flawlessly.
I checked my two connectors and the cable is not spliced and not damaged. It has to be the tuner on the motherboard.

Import your softcam.key file from your other unit and the powervu will open on the UHD. They are working to add the correct EMM keys.
The levels reported are a reference only and always vary from unit to unit.
You will also see that the frequencies and SR's a out a little too. Again this is due to the unit calculating these against it internal clock.

What cap and where in the unit?
Caps get supplied voltage from else where, so that it is low is from what is supplied to it, unless it is the wrong value.
