V8X- I have found a bug with 131.0w, new TP-4180-H-30000, it will lock up the receiver, remote will not work, you can't do anything with the receiver, all you can do is turn off the receiver, then turn it on as it is booting press menu and if you are lucky you can get into menu and delete the TP, if you are not lucky you will need to start over.

BTW, before you test this TP do a backup of every thing, I was able to get a stream recording of this TP, I do have the powervu keys for it, not all CHs are powervu on this TP.

I can't record a TS, if I have the CHs scaned in the receiver locks up, I have to keep powering the receiver on and off untill I can get into the menu to delete the TP, I used another receiver brand to record the data stream, that's how I was able to find the keys I sent to you.

Maybe you can unplug the signal cable, and then power on.
Go to the record page, and then plug the signal cable back.

That would would be a bad idea, you can blow an LNB doing that, I did test it with my old V8 Super, it had no problems with that TP.

When I had this issue with Intelsat19@166e on one TP, I found that a satellite on the satellite list that was already scanned in with that TP would scan OK.
A new sat on the sat list would stop at that TP.

This suggested to me that something in the TP data was looking like the end of file marker for the user file as the unit scanned the TP.

iq180 can you use the editor to add that TP and some of its TV channels data to your user file and reload it.
Maybe copy another TP data set and change the frequency, SID's etc to match the problem one.
After that it may scan OK, like mine did.
In my case the TP and channels were already in the unit before a software update made changes that caused the scan lock up.

I am going to play with this TP some more, I think it has somthing to do with the TP having 3 Encryptions on it, BISS/Powervu and Viaccess, I am going to try and remove the Viaccess CHs.

I now have part of the answer to the problem, this TP has gone to the new BISS 2, if you turn off the internet the receiver don't lock up, some how it is the BISS server doing it with this TP, this will be a big problem starting in January 2021 when many other BISS TPs move to the new BISS system, there is no hack for it at this time, very bad news.

You need to "UnPack" the .zip folder and use the .bin file for updates.

Do that on your PC or laptop.
Right click on the .zip folder and select extract here.
Windows will then open the .zip folder and place the .bin file in the same folder as the .zip is.
