V8UHD UI related bug and suggestions
Hi,
In V8UHD info bar incorrect program start and end time shows for next available program. Please check the attach image for more information. Also I noticed that sometimes program info does not load to info bar when we change the channels.
Please find the possibility of including signal strength and quality bars to info bar rather than displaying weather info. There are plenty of ways to check weather but not the signal levels.
Regards

Re: V8UHD UI related bug and suggestions
We will release the new firmware to fix the problem of infor bar.
Probably today, if everything goes well.

Re: V8UHD UI related bug and suggestions
Yes do that please!
You can just take the info bar from the Freesat v7s. It has all the information at one glance. Perfect.

New firmware was released, please give a try.
Thank you.
Re: V8UHD UI related bug and suggestions
Thank you for the last version of firmware.
Please give a look on Channel or TP info to show value in dB. It's more easy to perfectly set big antennas as mine that is 4.2Mt.

Re: V8UHD UI related bug and suggestions
Good to see the Info banner with EPG and the data info with more detail.
Still no encryption type listed.
Edited 29 Aug 2020
This issue has been fixed on the V8UHD!!
The encryption type now stays shown after re scanning a satellite.
Software version GTMedia_V8UHD_20200826_V209
When I reloaded my user data I had no channel name info at all.
Only the channel number in the list were shown. I had to re scan all my satellites to get names again.
166e 4180H30000 powervu auto roll worked.

Re: V8UHD UI related bug and suggestions
Thanks for the new firmware. I have still the problem that when I switch from a FTA channel to a encrypted channel it says no content in the info bar. I have to reebot the receiver and then the program info is there. But when I go back to a FTA channel no content. It works without problems on the Freesat v7s. Why is that? Same problem with the v9s.

Re: V8UHD UI related bug and suggestions
I have been buying freesat products even before the inception of the new adoption of the gtmedia branded name. There is no freesat products have not used. The new v8 uhd software bugs has been cummunicated to the freesat tech and seems they are not really taking it serious .I taught the recent software recently released will solve this but still the same issue .
There is a partucular 4k channel on hotbird (Canal 4k ultra),though encrypted but working fine though cccam. It worked fine on freesat gtc 4k with the same cccam but failed to work on the new v8 uhd. This are the reasons why many prefer 4k boxes because of the easy accessibility of the signal reception.I see no reason why it work on freesat gtc 4k and wont work on v8 uhd .What is the point buying if this cant be solved?Thank you

If you record the TS file and give us the cccam account, we can test and try to fix it.
Thank you.

The major and important thing before buying a decoder is making sure of getting good support and updates.Gtmedia team has really demostrated a wonderful support and always ready to assist. What else should we expect?Frequent software updates to address bug issue, multistream, cccam smooth running ,good server for auto roll biss key and powervu and willingness to always solve issues is their goal. This to announce to everyone that freesat v8 uhd is working very well on canal 4k ultra. The box is simply the best 4k decoder have ever used.Thank you gtmedia for your support. You are the best.
