GTMedia V8 Nova Orange stucks after lastest firmware update

Hello

After lastest firmware update (11/09/2020), the unit stops loading at 93% (display shows Lo93). After wating a lot of time I turned it off/on and then it shows the logo splash and stops loading at 60% (display shows Lo60). At this time, the unit allways stops loading at 60%.

I have done the recovery mode (renaming the lastest firmware to flash.bin and pressing Menu when power ON) but when rebooting it stops again at 93% and there is no HDMI video output. If I switch OFF/ON then it shows again the GTMedia logo and stops loading at 60% (display shows Lo60).

I am in a loop....

Can anybody help me?

prueba poniendo Flash.bin, ha muchos les funciona de este modo. Recuerda de formatear cada vez que pongas el firmware en el pendrive a fat32.

Gracias, ya lo he hecho y nada. De hecho tengo un pendrive que se ilumina cuando se está leyendo. Cuando entro en modo recovery veo que el aparato lee el pendrive durante unos 10 segundos, luego se reinicia solo (no sale el logo de Freesat, al menos la TV dice que no hay señal), sigue leyendo el pendrive unos 2-3 segundos más (mientras en el display muestra boot) y después empieza a cargar (en el display muestra LoXX) hasta que se para en el Lo93 (la TV sigue sin detectar señal).

También he probado con versiones anteriores de firmware y hace lo mismo.

El que tengo con LED es de 512 MB pero he probado con pendrives de 2 GB y sigue pasando lo mismo.

I sometimes wonder if this type of crash not recovering is due to a single bit of memory failing during updates.
Trying the different version until one is loaded that uses the failed bit in the failed state.
After that the unit may find the failure and flag the bit for non use.

I have had this on two units, recovery took many tries with many versions.
