Hi Folks,
From Seattle, Washington
U.S.A.
HELLO???? : - ))
Questions.....
i bought a GTMedia V8X and downloaded the U.S. Satellite List for it.
At the sametime, I found out on ebay that there's a NEW
GTMEDIA V8 UHD receiver that support 4K HEVC.
Once again, I'm hoping to find a satellite receiver that would output 4:2:2 Chroma UHD
to TV set.
ABC Network feeds is on Galaxy 16, C-band at 99W, and is on 4:2:2 HEVC Chroma and UHD
format. They're steaming format.
NO, I would NOT want to use a computer or mobile or devices that converts Chroma UHD
to watch on these devices from the satellite receiver. And it's a streaming format, as well
I still like to watch FTA satellite channel on TV.
Does the NEW V8 UHD receiver output 4:2:2 Chroma UHD to TV set???
I wonder IF there a 4:2:2 Chroma UHD converter box that would work
with satellite receivers???
Between the satellite receiver and the TV set???
Tell ya what, thought... I HATE 4:2:2 HEVC Chroma!!!
Hope all helps with answers.
Thank you,
Eugene

Hello! From Italy, here! The V8 UHD has Hdmi video output as in the pic attached. Don't know if this answers your question.
Video resolution is up to 4k 60hz.
I also have an xxxxxxxx, GtMedia has very good video output, and convenient features!

There is no GTMedia box that will do 4:2:2 feeds at this time.ECruzfreesat77 wrote: ↑Sat Apr 10, 2021 7:40 amHi Folks,

Yes the GTCombo does 4.2.2 feeds. The software is in testing and is improving.

Thank you Owen!!! Thank God!!! You didn't tell me in my PM
I'm glad to know this, on this forum.
Most of the satellite forums here in the U.S. don't think that there will
be a satellite receiver that does 4:2:2 feeds.
And with my impression from reading this, I say.......
"THAT'S JUST YET TO COME!"
Please keep me posted on the line.

Thanks for the reply but I will wait until the firmware is released for the GTcombo as I am disappointed with the fixes I requested for the V8UHD that have not been addressed as yet.
I also find the naming of these receivers very confusing there are many gtmedia boxes with "combo" in it's name.
