I just received a v8x. I have followed diferent instructions for loading an .m3u and a .txt file. No matter which one I try I can't get them to load. I can't find a way to enter them manually either. I need help.

1) Turn off the V8x with the power switch.
2) Turn on the V8x, after it boots up you will be in Satellite mode, leave it there.
3) Plug in the usb with the file, watch the TV screen, you will see two pop-up messages:-
#1 will say "USB Device Connected"
#2 will ask "Are you sure import customer pg?" Select "Yes" and it will load your file.
4) Using the menu, navigate to IPTV and then select "CUSTOMIZE". You will see your list.
5) You can only overwrite a new file, no editing of the list in the box.
6) Unplug the USB when finished, otherwise you get the pop-up nags.

*** If you don't get the pop-up messages in #3, try a different USB memory. The "USB Device Connected" message you should see every time you connect the USB memory. Message #2 will show when you have a valid IPTV file on the USB, in the root... not in a folder.***

It all goes as you say except that when I go to IPTV and select custom there is nothing there. Any ideas?

I did do what he said. In the end he said it works for him because he uses the January 2021 version of firmware. He suggested that I post my image so that the experts can help me. He has checked my .m3u and the .txt version and says it should work. He also said it might have to do with a request for change wanting passwords.

Code: Select all

Those are the 2 versions .txt and .m3u

@latinhawk
I wouldn't share the .m3u playlist that easy to the world, everybody can see your channels and change them while you're watching something else.

You're right, sorry I was trying to open the txt file. I load the m3u list fine to my V8X. It plays for sometime and stop, probably blocking my location

File rename to:

custom_url
