Re: vlc how to use?
hello
you can export the play list file as m3u file from v8uhd .
then import the m3u file into the vlc play list
then you can play the channel by vlc.(of course ,you need to confirm that the PC and v8uhd are in the same local network).

Re: vlc how to use?
If you set up Port Forwarding on your Router you will be able to view SAT channels from anywhere on the planet.
1. Export your m3u playlist file from V8UHD.
2. Find out what your Public IP is from a site that tells you your current address.
3. Set up Port forwarding
4. Put m3u file into a text editor & use 'find and replace' to swap your local network (such as 192.168.1.5) to your Public address.
Save the edited file & load into VLC on the remote devices.
You will now be able to view the channels in your receiver on any devices running (eg) VLC
If your Internet Service Provider changes your Public address you will have to repeat step 4.
For HD & UHD channels you will need an outgoing speed in excess of 10 Mbit sec-1.
The above works for me. It will probably work with the Android & Apple Apps as well, although I have not tested it.
