V8x not booting.

Just received my v8x and this appears on my tv.

Any suggestions?

That is the factory service menu.

I forget how to exit.

Some times this comes up if you repeat press the power on button.

You may be able to down arrow to the bottom factory menu option and press OK

So please do usb force upgrade by the newest firmware from viewtopic.php?f=40&t=18373 (v276)

Check that your remote control does not have the power on button stuck down.
Look at the remote IR LED through a digital camera and you should only see it flashing when you press a button.

Did you try using the arrow buttons on the remote to move around in that screen to the "Factory reset" and then click OK?

I tested remote, even plug out the batteries.

I did Factory reset, receiver restarts and again same screen appears.

Yes, I did. It is the only way I can flash the receiver.

Also tried vía rs232, with and without tftpd transfer....

Receiver is flashed succefully but later it doesn't boot to menu, It gets stucks in recovery screen.

When it does boot after a flash.bin, can you access the menus?

If so check what settings are set.

Do you power off with the remote or do you unplug the power from the wall.
There was an issue with the menu option to power on in standby on the UHD, but the V8x does not have that.

If you are powering on from standby, only press the power button once.
I think I have sent GT Media units into the service screen by repeat pressing power on.

Also try powering on after recovery with only the HDMI cable connected as this will reduce load on the power supply.
Also any hard drive / USB stick will also load the power.
If you have another power supply (12 volt 1,5A or 2A and up) try that too.

Only with a really old firmware, standard menu appeared...but no Signal from SAT.

On information screen the serial remains XXXXXX...

Remember if your .bin file is in a file folder the receiver will not see it, you must open the file folder and left click on the file, then right click on it and send it to your usb drive then rename it flash.bin or Flash.bin.

I Tried with 4 different firms with USB method, renaming from "flash.bin" first to "Flash.bin" all of them. Same image as @Inefable_07 showing different SW versions each time, but I cannot exit that menu that is shown after every reboot.
Also trying to update firm with RS232 cable with no success.

Try this, take the batters out of the remote then do a hard boot of the receiver just so you know that the remote is not the problem.

Note the instructions for forced recovery say continuous press of the menu button.
This is wrong.
Repeat press is what is needed as that keeps sending menu button signals.

Lo renombras a flash.bin e importante el formato del pendrive fat 32 para pendrives menores de 16 Gb y Ntfs para mayores de 16gb.
Lo introduces en el usb , apagas decodificador y lo enciendes , y seguidamente pulsar repetidamente boton menu del mando hasta que aparezca la pantalla de upgrade, si todo esta bien empezara a leer el pendrive y lo carga y el solo se reinicia.
Si no te sale pruebas con otra version de firmware renombrado a flash.bin.

He probado con varios firms, con "flash.bin" y "Flash.bin", con pulsado largo y pulsado repetido. La caja me dice que está actualizando, pero después nada, al reiniciar la misma imagen.
Solo me queda cambiar el pendrive...
Repetiré el proceso de nuevo.

try moving the cursor down to the bottom right and press OK for factory reset.

I had something like that with my UHD.
