V8 HDTV via scart

Post by forpollo »

Hello,

I am interesting in the V8 Turbo or the V8UHD 4k decoders. I would like to know if they are able to display HDTV via the SCART connector.
And, if yes, I would like to know whether the scart uses the RGB signal or the composite one.

regards

On the V8 Turbo, the Scart output has two settings RGB and CVBS.
The V8UHD, Digital Audio out is BS Out or LPCM Out.

My opinion is that the SCART connector is very very old (40 years?) and doesn't support any HD signal on both sides: in output from the decoder and in the input towards the display.

Sure, you are right evarese!
I explain better my question: I would like to know if the V8 decoder converts (downscale is the right word?) the incoming digital HD signal, in an analogue SD signal and send it in output through the SCART output connector

Yes, in that way you're describing, yes, the signal is downscaled (right verb!) to a resolution -SD - able to be managed by the 'old' devices.

Many thanks!
Sorry for asking a confusing question!
