RS 232 V8 Turbo
Hi, can I use the rs 232 Connection for an IR Extension? There ist no notice in the Manual.
Re: RS 232 V8 Turbo
The RS232 connection is for forced recovery only.
As for the remote IR, the V7s did have an IR extension port.
There is some information on that here.
Later hardware had the correct 3.5mm port.
There are IR extenders to buy on the net that may help extend IR sensing.
Some GT Media units IR sensors work when being looked down at but not up to.
If your unit is high on a shelf, try tilting the unit forward to improve the remote sensing.
