Connector DB9 to JST, USB to JST
I recommend that you do not do it, Mars works much better

Re: Mars firmware Topic
Not certain but I believe this is the proper software for the V8UHD. Try the second link first as it's the newer version.

And here is how to wire it up.

Re: Mars firmware Topic
I do everything you write about. Nothing works. In V8UHD upgrade tool, the tuner does not see the computer, in GTmedia v8v7 it is what is in the picture.

Re: Mars firmware Topic
how can i add one channel from a given transponder or how to add channels from a selected transponder so that they will be saved at the end of my channel list?
Re: Mars firmware Topic
Depending on what receiver you have, the V8UHD puts the new channels at the (front) of the channel list, as with the V8X it does put the channels at the back of the channel list.
There are various ways to scan a transponder, depending on what the channel is broadcasting as, and how many are in that group, some times you may get lucky and just scan in the one channel, which may be the one that you require.

Re: Mars firmware Topic
The .bin file itself is the file to write to the eeprom but the result will likely be you will overwrite your serial number and other unique information. If you don't need the serial number for a cccam server then don't worry about it.
You can always ask the staff for a personalized eeprom later with your serial number and you will be able to write that with a usb stick, rs232 will not be necessary.

Re: Mars firmware Topic
What is the receiver model?
What version of Mars software?
In the latest version of the Mars software, there is an option to disable the LCN

I don't have lcn in system settingsfreeshooter wrote: ↑Fri Feb 17, 2023 4:19 amWhat is the receiver model?

In the latest version of the Mars software, there is an option to disable the LCN
menu language, audio 1,2, subtitle language, etc
however, I care about adding new channels at the beginning or at the end of the current list, unfortunately, when I add a channel, the whole list is sorted by transponders, not according to my previous list +new channels.
Re: Mars firmware Topic
System settings, ok, down arrow, you will enter the next page. There is the LCN.

Re: Mars firmware Topic
Everything is fine.
I also once thought that there was no LCN in the settings.
THE SYSTEM SETTINGS MENU HAS SEVERAL PAGES.There are 4 pages. Do you understand? There are 4 pages. They need to be scrolled through with the PG buttons.
I wrote "page down with the PG + - button" in that post. Or, as you correctly pointed out "System settings, ok, down arrow, you will enter the next page. There is the LCN."(Thanks MAVERIC!)
This will take you to the second settings page.
And if you read the topic completely, you will find many more interesting features of the Mars software.

Re: Mars firmware Topic
Does anyone use this with cable service? Mine does show all channels on the auto tuning process but afterwards does not show the locked channels on the list. Anyone has an idea on what is the problem?
