Re: 4:2:2 Biss Wild Feeds
I'm finding the 422 feeds that report 1084 as the resolution in the info banner are the ones that have jumpy video.
Does anyone else see that?

Re: 4:2:2 Biss Wild Feeds
I have tried in all the resolution settings in the decoder but it still gives the same problems of very slow audio and video I have tried in 480p 720p 1080p and the same problem

Re: 4:2:2 Biss Wild Feeds
Between the screen resolution (process after the signal de-coding) and the frame speed there is no relationship as personally tested by our friend.

I sent the team recordings,so let's give them a chance and not rush to any hasty conclusions daao10.
Re: 4:2:2 Biss Wild Feeds
There are a few issues with this receiver, which they are looking at, this will take time.
It may mean going two steps forward, one back. They will get this receiver as it should, with all the feed back that they are getting.

Simply impossible! I got my Combo the first days of May and was one of the first owners: it means the half you're speaking...

Re: 4:2:2 Biss Wild Feeds
Ok this is what I found out about the GT on 4.2.2 feeds, it DOESN'T which resolution either 720p or 1080i or 1080p, what matter is the "Carrier width and the Bit Rate".
The GT Media handles the lower Carrier width and Bit Rate at 4.2.2. audio and video just fine, like a 17.999 MHz Carrier width, and like a 29.709 Mbit/s. The problem arises when you get into the high Carrier width like 35.993Mhz and Bit Rate 80.384 Mbit/s
So maybe we need Two different players to switch to for 4.2.2 one for the higher and one for the lower rates.

Re: 4:2:2 Biss Wild Feeds
The Need2learn's analysis is, from a technical poin of view, simply perfect. It's obvious that a faster BR decoding needs 'more power'. This power could be a faster microprocessor and/or an increased decoding process.
I don't agree with the possibilty to adopt 'two' different players, simply because the faster one obviously well performs also with lower BR signals.
I have a question: where to find those technical data posted? But what about feeds' data, probably the most important to see?

This what I did, I trying viewing a couple of 4.2.2 channels on my GT combo only one would play fine, so using my computer and my TBS 6903 satellite card I scanned the exact 4.2.2 channels using EBSpro software which shows the details of each channel. That way I could compare the differences on which channels that would works on the GT combo and which would not.
Re: 4:2:2 Biss Wild Feeds
My test sample was shipped from China on the 5th Feb 2021.
It was the start of April that we see the first comments from users that had brought their own units.

Did you see any of these report the 1084 resolution in the info banner on the GT Combo?Need2learn wrote: ↑Sun Jun 27, 2021 5:36 pmThis what I did, I trying viewing a couple of 4.2.2 channels on my GT combo only one would play fine, so using my computer and my TBS 6903 satellite card I scanned the exact 4.2.2 channels using EBSpro software which shows the details of each channel. It is the 1084 instead of 1080 that are jumpy for me, But a TP recording did not play jumpy for GT Media when I sent them one.

Re: 4:2:2 Biss Wild Feeds
Did you read what I posted it is NOT the resolution it is the BIT RATE
Re: 4:2:2 Biss Wild Feeds
Yes I read that, but still ask if the "Report" of 1084 is there. This reporting could also be an issue.
Is there even a resolution of 1084?
Owen
Edited:
There was a problem when the V8Pro2 came out that it would not play some of my video files too.
It was that those that would not play were reported as 1088 in the media player and the others were 1080 or something like that.
GT Media issued new software and fixed this.

When you find a feed which is 4.2.2, just press the (yellow) button on the remote.
