I seem to have lost access to 3990V 5300. Anyone else having success? Is there a new EMM available?

Well I have bad news for you, Spaceway 1/ 103.0w is about to go BOOM, the problem was reported in December 2019 the batterys have gone bad, it was reported they mite explode, the FCC gave them untill January 2020 to move it out of orbit so it want damage other satellites, I don't know where the CHs will move to or if they will move at all.

Thanks IQ180. I thought it was just the Direct TV ku satellite and SES3 will be fine after all, Gulfcom recently moved there and I get a stronger signal than when it was on 101W. Also, there are some In Demand, Ion, Showtime and QVC. I would think they would have moved temporarily by now. Are you able to check 3990V and see if you are having a problem too?

The problem is in the Spaceway 1. SES 3 is a different satellite in the same orbital space and should be ok.

2 satellites can't be in the same orbit space, that's why I allways ask for orbit location and not satellite names, a name is put on a satellite by some one that is making more money than they are worth, JMHO, we will know soon enough because it will be gone by the end of January 2020 and that time is at hand.

Actually........

In this case, there are several satellites in the area of 103W.
As in most orbital slots.

NATO 2A - 103.58W inclined approx. +5 degrees (50 years old)
SES3 - 102.97W on plain (9 years old)
DirecTV 15 - 102.84W on plain (5 years old)
DirecTV 12 - 102.78W on plain (11years old)
DirecTV 10 - 102.73W on plain (13 years old)

Typically station keeping is held at +/- .05 degrees in the horizontal and vertical plain.
When the birds are decommissioned they are put in an inclined position, as in NATO 2A.
DirecTV keeps their birds very tight.

So where is Spaceway F1 currently you ask?????????
As of this writing it is at 138.8W and inclined -.65 degrees.
It's NORAD # is 28644 if you want to track it.
Looks like it's going over the Pacific just in case it goes boom.
It's a Boeing 702 platform Bird.
SES3 is a GeoStar 2 platform Bird.

Everything is ok in OZ.

Just remember, Lyngsat is full of errors and mistakes.

Cheers
