How to fix exported channel lists (.xml) to able to use the editor again

Post by watm9 »

As many of you know, the update firmware .51 has broken the ability to edit the exported list in the editor.

Today some channels have change frequencies (at least in spain) and trying to order the channels in the box itself is a pain, so i tryed to figure out why the editor wasn't working and i have found the solution.

You just need to open your channel list (.xml) in any notepad, go to the replacement option and replace <program/> for nothing (leave the box empty). Press replace all and save. (mark at the top of the text, so that it goes throught the entire text and replace everything)

Now you can open the file .xml again in the editor like before.

Please in the new firmware update fix the sorting of favorite channels when doing a new blind search or by tp. When a new channel search is made, the new channels remain at the end of the general channel list, but in favorites they are out of order. It is necessary that after the channel search the list of favorite channels is not cluttered.

It's a shame, but replacing the word <program /> keeps giving me an error. thanks though, and see if you can come out with an improved editor soon.
