Softcam gtc

I can't insert softcam keys in gtmedia. Any help. Am knew to gtmedia gtc

It is easier to put the keys in via internet.

Easiest way is to use the WEBIF. In your browser put the IP of the box +":8081" ie 192.168.1.68:8081. (use a static IP so you always know what it is). When that opens look for FILES and then OTHER FILES and select SOFTCAM.KEY. There you can edit/copy/paste as you wish. SAVE at bottom of page and reboot the box for changes to take effect.

There is some work, but not impossible... using a text editor helps a lot. To help you get started I have made a small "How2", you can download it from here >>

I had gtmedia v7s which was easy to outroll powervu keys on 68.5e. Sky news, cnn, hbo all worked well but the gtmedia gtc decoder can't outroll the keys to open these channels. Is it that gtmedia gtc is incapable of using the keys to open the channels on 68.5e?

Read the How to.... from juan_vale on previous post. GTC Softcam should be done in a different format.

Hi Kodhek,

Gt media V7s and GTC use a different structure in their softcam files, you cannot simple copy/paste the Sofcam.key fron v7s to GTC.
Please read the 'How to' guide of Juan,.

I have a GTC, and my softcam is working fine for 58w.

Are those channels still working on the V7S or have those transponders changed to a new type of PowerVue ???. If you can not open them with the V7S then I doubt they will work on the GTC. Where I live there is one transponder that will not open with the GTC... it is 58w_3720V30000... neither ECM or EMM keys will work on that TP. This is due to the version of OSCAM used in the GTC being old and outdated. Using a newer version of OSCAM in a different STB does open that transponder. My V8x also will work and update on that transponder.

The first time I try, I had a list that someone else was using for V7.
With your help I was able to set up the GTC box.

TP 3720V 3000 only works with ECM, no autoroll, but still you can make it work.

must be my GTC as I put in valid ECMs and it does not open... not a big deal as I have other ways to see those channels.

I have tried in vain because there are no keys for 68.5e

Can anyone help me ... I have a new gts box, I entered a softcam for Asian satellites, but nothing has changed the broadcast is still scrambled

Softcam for the GTC/GTS models is different. What format are you uisng??

I followed the guide juan to enter the powervu code, but it didn't work when I saved my softcam settings on webif, my code wasn't there I use gtmedia gts seri 2818000389, the satellite that I want to open ASIA77 and has 3 areas in Asia, if someone wants to send me a softcam for Asia, I thank you

If you send me (via PM not in open Forum) some of your file I will check it and see if I can find any errors. Just send me 2 transponders and I will return them to you with any editing. Only send by PM.

Finally I can enter the powervu and biss keys, but the strange thing is that when entering via webif it often doesn't increase or doesn't add up, does anyone experience the same? ... sorry my english is messy

Yes, you are right. When you hit SAVE , it will crash if the quantity of keys is big and NOT save. I do is copy the softcam from the webif screen into my softcam file and save it to my computer. Then I do all the add/delete changes and re-load back to the box manually in the box menu area.
