Parental lock - how?

Post by Tom II »

I'm exporting an .xml file. I will change "parental_lock =" false "" to "true". Importing an .xml file. Program not available - black screen. Is it possible to unlock the program via the remote control? I have GTC.

Hello,
Only way I found to do this was exporting the Database, Editing the DB with the xml editor. Look for the channel to block and change parental_lock="false" to parental_lock="true". Set the password at Menu, TV Setting, System, Password Setting. Sorry, this is the only way for now.

This is clear - "Only way I found to do this was exporting the Database, Editing the DB with the xml editor. Look for the channel to block and change parental_lock="false" to parental_lock="true"."

This is clear - "Set the password at Menu, TV Setting, System, Password Setting."

But where should I use this set password? And how? Thanks for the explanation.

On the XML Editor:

This is clear - "Only way I found to do this was exporting the Database, Editing the DB with the xml editor. Look for the channel to block and change parental_lock="false" to parental_lock="true"."

On the GTC Main Menu- TV Setting

This is clear - "Only way I found to do this was exporting the Database, Editing the DB with the xml editor. Look for the channel to block and change parental_lock="false" to parental_lock="true"."

I understand that. But then where will I use that password?
I'll set a password. I turn off the receiver. I turn on the receiver - does not want to enter the password. I switch to the program where I set parental_lock = "true" - does not want to enter the password. So where will the set password be used? What is it used for? This is not clear to me.

This is not a regular standard procedure. The GTC does not provided a clearly steps to do so. I have not used my GTC in a very long time. You now have the basic. Keep playing and testing and see if you can make it to work. Meanwhile, for your information the new GTC-2 with GTCOMBO Android device 9.0 will be out shortly.
