Gtmedia Combo (Android)

I purchased the new GTmedia Combo but When I blind scan I can't get any of the channels on the Vertical Polarity in satellite. I tried with Astra B and Eutelsate 6. I can get all H polarity signals but never the V polarity. I have updated the box and done reset but still the same. I am in Ghana West Africa

Yes Ku Band on 90 inch dish

Also can you confirm what satellites you are viewing, there are various Astra / Eutelsat slot's.

Until the diseqc- universal Ku LNB problem is solved try testing using 9750 only instead of 9750-10600. Also, try moving the LNB polarization from H, V Auto several times. GTMedia is working hard to solve the problem. if you finally can scan Vertical you can go back to 9750-10600 after.

Did you "ADD" your own satellite to the satellite list or use one of the satellites already on the list.

I have found errors with antenna settings if you "ADD" your own satellite. GT Media have reported they will fix this in the next software version.

Try using one of the satellites already listed.

No I didn't add any I just did a blind scan on Astra B satellite on the 28.2 degree east

I did more test today on the latest software and it is still having switching issues with LNB settings for universal LNB's, like 9750/10600.
Exporting and re loading (Importing) the user file made 9750/10600 satellite with DiSEqC switching stop as no DiSEqC commands were sent after the reload.
Fault reported to GT Media

Try setting the LNB to 9750 only. and then also set a different sat for the high band 10600 only with 22kHz "ON".

I have done so and got some of the channels working. But what I found is that when you set the LNB parameters at the universal 9750-10700 you get only Channels on the H polarity. So in order to get those channels I prefer which are on the V polarity I had to change to 9750 only and switch on 22khz. Gtmedia must as a matter of urgency bring an update to correct this anomaly.

Are you using DiSEqC switch settings?
I find the switch commands are incorrect if you use the 9750/10600 setting.

You can set up 3 or 4 satellite on the list and have them like this
9750 H 22kHz "OFF"
9750 V 22kHz "OFF"
10600 H 22kHz "ON"
10600 V 22kHZ "ON"

That may get you the channels you need while GT Media fix the switching / LNB setting issue.

The current update no. C20.A9.1.6 just broke the update issued on 28th May 2021. The earlier update corrected the disecq problem but this one has broken it…

I agree.

Channel changing works as after the resend of the switch command the switches work.

Scanning is the issue.
I find starting on a channel on the same DiSEqC 1.1 port before scanning another 1.0 port helps.
eg: watch channel on 1.1 port 4 / 1.0 port 1. Then scanning 1.1 port 4 / 1.0 port 3 then works.

I'm trying to record the 22kHz to see what is being sent.
Even changing channel to a DiSEqC 1.1 port 3 satellite with no 1.0 switch takes two commands sets to change the switch.
It should only take one set as the DiSEqC 1.1 port command is the only one to be made. The first set sent must NOT have the correct 1.1 port command.

Testing is tricky as the 22kHz tone levels are very low in the LNB cable.
Today I will try using a 22kHz switch to switch a loud audio tone that I hope I can then record and see the digital data sent.
Results later I hope.
Edited:
I tried and failed to get any audio recording that I could use.
My last option is to use my very old oscilloscope and try to photo or video the screen.
I think I did that back with the V8 Golden LNB over current issue.

Edited:
Sadly my scope has got so pail I can not use it.
I'm out of options to record or see the 22kHz tone data.

I think i have set this receiver up as i should, i have a motor set to the receiver as usals, which is set against 30w with a 110cm dish, plus other settings as i would for any other GTMedia receiver.
Carried out a blind scan to find the transponders from the said satellite, have got the latest software, the receiver found transponders etc, the receiver went to put in the channels against the transponders found, the receiver just hung, showing 11565.00, i then reset the receiver and carried out a few scan's of a few transponders.
Put these in, and came up with this information, put in 12631v 30000 ticked this, pressed the red button on the remote to scan, the receiver put to the screen 11550.00 then hung.
Tried 12548v 29600, the receiver put to the screen 0198.00, tried 11222h 30000, the receiver put to the screen 01472.00.
i did find a few (fta) channels, do not know what transponder they were found against, but would have been against 10889V 27500 of which (AJE NEWS)
is one.
I have only just got this receiver, i am trying to get this receiver to do the same as my other receivers ie, V8X / V7 Pro / V8 Turbo.

Hi, I also have that same problem. I hope the GTMedia team releases a new firmware to correct these problems. I bought the GTCombo receiver especially for satellite tuners and Isdb-tb, because to watch IPTV or streaming I buy any decoder with android on the market.

I want the team to solve the problems soon.

As a recommendation, use the satellites that GTCombo brings, do blind scans about 6 times, for each one apply a reboot to the decoder, so I managed to have half the channels, but I am missing many that the GTCombo is impossible to find. I am now using my GTMedia GTC for Satellite TV and isdb-tb waiting for GTMedia to solve the problems. If it does not resolve, it will be necessary to return the product to an Aliexpress seller.

Thank you, for confirming the said issues with this receiver, i have said this before, i think it would be better to have this as a stand alone receiver, without all the add on's, 4.2.2 built in, audio out HDMI/RCA/SCART, built around the likes of V8X / X8 / V8 Turbo / V7 Pro.

Seems to me that the diseqC problem still persists. It’s impossible to set second LNB to scan at 9750-10700 universal..the primary LNB works fine though

Check after you set 9750/10600 that the 22kHz is set to auto.

I start scans from the antenna setting menu as this sets the switches before scanning.
