Parent Lock + Lock System Bug

HI.
I can see option to lock adult channels. I can see this option works well but I found a big bug how you can bypass it.

You can scan again all channels and System will add again same channel list include unlocked Adult channels so Parent lock is useless

So please fix this with new firmware:
Lock setup option for setup channels

In the parental lock system there are options to add the menu system to the lock.
Remember that the age lock only works from the EPG info for the channel, No info no age info so no lock.

Try the menu lock as that stops scans.

Yes I agree.
Sorry I thought you had a older V8 unit.

There is no way to lock out the menu use on the GT Combo.
The V7 and V8 GT Media units do offer this, but not on the GT Combo.

If you have issue with this you could open the remote and place some sticky tape over the menu button so others can not use the menu or buy a learning remote and only add the buttons needed to watch and hide the GT remote for your self.

HI.

This is not a solution,

Solution is to ask admin to add this on next update, to fix this bug and do not use temporary solution.
Any kid can connect usb/bluetooth keyboard and unlock all keys.


Please add solution for next update. We are here to solve issues not just looking for temporary back doors

Yes a fix of the software is the best solution.

GT Media will see this post and I hope add this to the list of things to fix.
