GTX Media 8k

Hello I have 8K GT Media Receiver and I just brought a 8k TV and 8K HMDI cable, my question is when I go to the display the highest resolution I can go is
4k 60mhz ...why I am not seeing the 8K resolution in the display menu of the GT Media 8k?

It maybe that the receiver is 8k but the output is only 4k.

Maybe go out and purchase an upscaling AV receiver to get full use of that 8K television?

Samsung QN900C 85 85k that is a true 8K TV

It looks like it is the other way around.

Go back and read it, this is what is it says
GTMEDIA GT Combo 4K 8K Android 9.0 Smart TV BOX DVB-S2 T2 Cable 2G+16G Satellite Receiver Support M3
Meaning it will display 4K and 8K no where on there does it say it will only display 4K

So I think it must be either my 8k cable is not 8k certified or they need to upgrade the firmware..

It's like this, when your monitor supports a certain resolution, it will be displayed in the menu. For example, if your machine only has a maximum of 1080P, then the menu will only have a maximum of 1080P. This design is very intelligent.

I have no clue like I said I have a 8k TV meaning it should up in the 8k GT Media Box box menu...
