U.S. C/Ku band Satellites on Satellite List on GTMeida V9

Post by ECruzfreesat77 »

Hi Folks, :D

This is ECruzfreesat77

Or you can call me "Eugene" :D

Questions....

Do any of you know does the GTMedia V9 Super includes
U.S. satellites on the "Satellite List"???

IF so, then where do I get the right GRMedia V9 Super that
has U.S. satellites???

I saw those GTMedia V9 Super on YouTube, and the user
was showing list of European satellites. :(

I saw a lot fo GTMedia V9 Super on ebay and most of those
ebay sellers are from CHINA!!! :o
Edited out comment: Feralkiwi

Anyway, does the GTMedia V9 Super includes U.S. satellites on
the Satellite list to chose from???

IF NOT, is there a firmware for U.S. version for GTMedia V9 Super???

I have NOT yet purchase the GTMedia V9 Super receiver.
That's why I'm finding out about U.S. satellites.

C/Ku band U.S. satellites.

Hope all helps with answers.

Thank you,
Eugene

I do not know if the V9 has US sats in it.

You can ADD any sat to the list you want and then blind scan them
if you only have one or two dishes this is easy.
The software is the same for all the world, just the sat list changes on some units.

There are some channel lists posted on parts of the forum for different units.
eg: GTMEDIA V9 SUPER 19.2E Channel list (05/03/2020)

Please read the forum rules.

Hi Owen,

Thanks, but I would be only using 1 satellite dish
to add satellite onto the list.

I thought that I would end up adding satellite name to the list.
In that case I would have to add the degree at West.

Like "119W" for example.

All I know where the satellite name is located.
But I do not know all the details to add-on-to it,
IF it required.

Would GTMedia recognize the satellite name and
at what degree at West???

Thanks,
Eugene

Any unit you brought, you would still have to go to the satellite list and set up your LNB setting for each satellite anyway.
With one dish you are only doing this once.
The longitude is only used by a USALS motor dish mover. If you don't have one then longitude is not used.

After you have the LNB setting in the unit you do a blind scan and all the channels scan in.
If you need to add your satellite to the list, the menu is easy to do so.
You can call that satellite anything you want, the box does not care.

What satellite is your dish pointed at?

Hi Owen,

I have a 10 foot mesh dish antenna, KTI and C-band ONLY.

I do have a smaller 24 inch dish round ( I think that's what they called it? )
and it's a Ku band for DVB-S2.

IF I want to purchase the GTMedia V9 Super, where can I get one
here in the U.S. ????

Why???

Because from my experiences, when I bought FTA receivers from
different counties, they don't set it to NTSC in COLOR!!!! :(

All I saw was ROLLING-IN-BLACK AND WHITE.
That means the receiver was set to PAL !!! :!:
I HATE THAT :!:

So, with the analog TV set with RCA, it's hard
to see the settings for NTSC, because it was
in black and white and rolling. :( i hate it :!:
Hate to see when I turn on the FTA receiver, and
when it boots up, it shows rolling screen in black and white.

Are there places that do sells GTMedia V9 Super here in the U.S.
and have it already set to NTSC????

Thanks,
Eugene

The GT Media units have a function to set NTSC / PAL from the remote.
Added fast key to switch video output mode or format.
we try to support some old TV or some signal mode TV
Press menu key to main menu.(Panel show "----")
press Green key to switch NTSC/PAL, the panel will show "PAL " or "NTSC"
Press Stop key to switch the video format
PAL mode : the panel will show "576I" -- "576P" -- "720P"(50HZ) --"1080I"(50HZ) --"1080P"(50HZ)
NTSC mode : the panel will show "480I" -- "480P" -- "720P"(60HZ) --"1080I"(60HZ) --"1080P"(60HZ)
GT Media have set up their shop here

Their secure site shows warehouses is 7 locations, including USA
There are also many sellers on aliexpress.
Shipping costs vary and shipping times are all slow due to covid-19.
My unit has been stuck in a shipping warehouse in China since 28 April.

Owen,

I went to that shop site but it shows their from China.
But I don't see the one in U.S.

I also do NOT see GTMedia V9 Super listed. Is there???
Can you guide to that link???

Also, do they accept Pay Pal????

The way it setup Pay Pal takes it out of my checking account
to Pay Pal. like I've done on ebay.

Hope all helps with answers.

Thanks,
Eugene

Have a look at this part of their site.

They may not have the V9 in US warehouses as it was a unit marketed for the EU / Spanish market I think.

Why the V9 anyway?

Hi Owen,

Why V9???

I always look after the VERY LATEST and NEW satellite receiver as currentlly
than the most recent ones.

Hi Owen,

No I have NOT seen the V8X :?: :?: :?:

Is it suppose to be better :?: :?: :?:

I thought going by the model number as it goes up
like V9 means "better" than V8 :?:

But never heard or seen V8X.

JUST saw it on ebay and read the description.

Yah, I might as well get this one because it support
WiFi, BISSKEY, POWER VU and C card slot so that I
could watch scrambled channels. :D
C-band or Ku band, here in the U.S.

However, when I saw the rare end of V9 Super,
does it include RCA adapter to plug into the "RCA out".
Or do I have to buy separately????
Because I'm using a 27 inch TOSHIBA analog TV set with
RCA input. :D

The Scart plug is easy, you just plug in an adapter.

The numbers like V7 V8 and V9 do not mean the latest.
The V7HD was first then V7 Combo, V7s, V7Plus
Then was also the V8, V8 nova, and now the V8X
Along side these there was the V9 made for the Spanish market.

The V8 Nova's, V8Pro2, V7s, V7Plus and the V9 were the last group of models.
The V8X is the start of the latest group.

Hi Owen,

Does the V8X support WiFi????

I saw one on ebay and it says
"WiFi support"

All I see is the Ethernet on the ware end.
There's NO place to plug in a WiFi dongle antenna???

I wouldn't want to use a long ethernet cable JUST for WiFi???

Thanks,
