Why isn't true time after next turn on?

Hello,l have a GTMedia V9 Prime DVB-s receiver,The system time isn't keep run after power off,For example, l should disconnect power at 12:56,but l next power on at 14:20,But But it't show time 12:56??????Why? :o

Why power off in the first place, may be you need to leave it in stand -by.
What you require is a receiver that has a battery as back-up for if the mains go down you have power, for the clock to work.

Most units keep time even powered off.
The time setting option GMT "ON" uses the time from the satellite channel / TP you are tuned to, so it should show correct time soon after you have a channel viewed.

GMT "OFF"uses the internal CPU clock and does not change with different times from different TP's.
It may be that the TP you are turned to at power on has a incorrect time.
CPU time can loss or gain a bit though.
