DVB-S2 HEVC 4.2.2. Format

Post by ECruzfreesat77 »

Hi Everybody,

I'm NEW to this FreeSat form ALL the way from the West cost of U.S.A.

Sorry that I speak in ENGLISH.

I was referred by an ebayer to this forum who's selling a
Freesat GTMEDIA V8 DVB-S2 HEVC 4.2.2. Satellite receiver.
And suggested that I should submit my inquiry on this forum.

I need help IF you all could, in China or Korea.

I have a 10 foot satellite dish and I used to watch
ABC Network feeds that's on Galaxy satellites.
Galaxy 16 C-band at 99W
Galaxy 3 C-band at 95W
( both are on Horizontal polarity )

I've been watching them for a LONG time on my FTA satellite receiver,
up until last week!!!

ABC Network has changed ther DVB-S2 format into
DVB-S2 HEVC 4.2.2. format.

That means they UPLINK their streaming video

My current FTA satellite receiver is NOT compatible to ABC Network's
NEW DVB-S2 format.

On my current FTA satellite receiver, I only can hear AUDIO but in SPLIT AUDIO.
I only can see black screen! NO visual or video, JUST BLACK SCREEN with AUDIO SPLITS.

What satellite receiver should I get that would OUTPUT video streaming to TV set???
Like with RCA connector to my TV.

Would FreeSat GTMEDIA V8 DVB-S2 HEVC 4.2.2. satellite receiver OUTPUT video streaming
to TV???

I was looking at one satellite receiver on ebay to whether to buy it, it's a
Edison OS Mio DVB-S2 4.2.2. satellite receiver, but an order to view video streaming
video from a satellite, you would have to connect devices like Smart phone or other
devices from the satellite receiver to watch it. BUT NOT for TV set!!!!

Are any of you are familiar to this situation???

Other satellite forum groups here in the U.S.A. say that there's NO WAY
to OUTPUT video streaming to TV.

Hope all helps with answers.

Thanks,
Eugene

Here in NZ I too see 4.2.2 feeds and no Freesat unit has yet shown them.
These are feeds that show colour bricks with the first collum correct.
Recording these feeds and playing them back on a PC works.

There is now another sort of TP on many sats here that scans in one channel and have broken audio and no vodeo. These TP's are often 30000 SR.
I had wondered if these were phone signal data TP's.
or thery could be like the ones in Europe (Beout I think they were) that have the Vpid Apid Sid etc hidden and you need to set up the channel manully.

I recorded on using TP record, so the full stream, and the PC said it had 26 hours of video on the 10 second recording and did not play.
