Ifire2 turns on with black screen

Post by yohann »

This is a Ifire2 with an outdated stlaker account.
When I turn on the bobox I see the logo, then a black screen.
I have tested 3 diffrent remote controler (I have a stock of ifire 2 ) but the box doesnt react and respond.
*this box is completly new. Has served 2 days.
Please help me.

This may be due to PAL / NTSC.

The default for GT Media boxes is PAL.
If your TV does not do PAL that may be your issue.
That you see the logo (startup default PAL) shows you see PAL, maybe it is set to NTSC and your TV does not do that.

You may need to set the output AV setting to PAL only, or 1080 50Hz, away from auto.

I had the same problem with IFIRE, but I managed to solve:

1) Symptom:
When the box was turned on, the logo would appear, then it would give a black screen and "no connection", the system would not boot.

2) I did what they said on the Forum (it didn't work):
- PEN, less than 4GB
- FAT32 formatting
- I put at the root of the PEN, the last firmware (27/04/2021 that I found in this topic viewtopic.php?f=69&t=12085)
- renamed the file from "GTMedia_iFire_Release_V518_20210427.bin" to "flash.bin"
- I turned on the box
- click the menu button (here is the problem)
- nothing happened (black screen and "no connection", system would not boot)

3) I did the following (and it worked):
- PEN, less than 4GB
- FAT32 formatting
- I put at the root of the PEN, the last firmware (27/04/2021 that I found in this topic viewtopic.php?f=69&t=12085)
- renamed the file from "GTMedia_iFire_Release_V518_20210427.bin" to "flash.bin"
- I turned on the box
- I clicked all the buttons at the same time (so I don't know which one for sure)
- the message "USB upgrade! Do not power off!"
- and got it :)
